  • 1973 BMW 2002 stance build

Finally, after about 6 months of having this car i'm finally starting a build thread
Always been a fan of the 2002 so when i found this one i had to have it. Paid $1300 for it with a pretty straight body but engine doesn't run. Rebuilding the carburetor was one of the "projects" the seller told me before buying it and it didn't seem like too much of a challenge(This is my first project car so i am not too knowledgeable). it was not a challenge rebuilding it, but after on and off work it still doesn't run still digging deeper to get it running, but starting to look more into the build as far as interior and suspension! Its going to be tucked when i'm finished on 15x7 gold mesh with polished lip. anyways enough about the build here are some pics!

I'll try and post updates as much as possible.

You have a lot of work on your hands, but if you keep at it and don't give up, it'll be freaking amazing. Knowledge is your best friend, learn everything you can about the car. I love 2002's so I wish the best man!

Defiantly a project. But I can tell there is a lot of potential!

Quite a project here, a lot of potential with this car as well. Check out Heist's or CubbyChowder's builds, some splendid work there. Looking forward to see how it goes and what you do with it.

I've been through Heist's and ChubbyChowder's builds quite a lot actually! Lots of inspiration coming from them.

hey, it needs some work, but it is better condition than mine, if you need a thread of what not to do to yours check mine out.

if you want to get it low cheap too i can tell you you can go ahead and chop the springs about in half, i can pull my rears out by hand when i jack it up, and it still rides fine

I've looked through yours a couple times actually! It's a shame it had so much rust! Anyways i was curious what size your wheels are? I'm looking at getting 15x7 sometime here in the future but afraid they wont fit
