Sub box is lookin good! I like working with fiberglass like that, I made a couple center console sub boxes for my yota out of fiberglass, because thats all I had room for lol.

You should so it man! Its easy to do! I just spray degreaser on and scrub/wipe straight off. Then hose off later.

As promised, a real update.

Because we laid fabric over as the base layer we had to cut that out and make the speaker holes perfectly circle.

Then we sanded everything down with 80 grit and layer a nice layer body filler.







I completely forgot to get a mock up of all the speakers installed, but here is the subwoofer pre-bondo


Also, once we were done for the night and waiting for the filler to dry we set these ribs (soaked in fiberglass)

They go in the middle between the 2 subs to make it stronger and have less flex!

The second (thin) layer of filler is on and we will pick up there on sunday night. And to jumo ahead a little I will probably be painting next week and this is the color I choose.


I'm so ready to get this done and start working on getting everything cleaned up for SoWo 2013! More to come!

Oh it wasn't free hand The end of the bit had a small bearing so the it wouldn't cut into anything.

Its amazing what you can do with the right tools
