They are much cheaper than NRG's otherwise i'd look there first.
The new wheels your thinking will look amazing! But they would need the chrome centers i think!

Went to TRU motorsports in Indy today and picked up a really nice wood steering wheel. Now all I need is the MOMO adaptor to come in and I can install it into the car.

I have a confession i love this car because my second car in the USA was a Lt1 ex-cop/cab caprice i love the room and the power! I always look for them on CL everyday lol even today!

Haha thanks! I used to have popo lights, but i cut too many wires trying to clean up under the hood.... those 5x127 wheels are the same pattern as the 5x5's. Although 16 inch rims are hard to find performance tires for in the width i would need (275 or 285)Comment

Yea the set I could get would be about $400 out the door, problem is the back spacing isn't large enough so they won't fit with as low as the car is. Also, steel wheels are just too heavy for what I want. I'm trying to have stock c6 vette handling capabilities before next season.Originally posted by Rob&co View PostComment

There are a lot of different opinions out there as to whether or not this actually provide structural integrity to the frame. My honest opinion is... no it does not. However, i've always wanted one and for the price I'm not gonna complain!Comment

Today was a very productive day! I ordered a black NRG thin quick release, and when I got home the MOMO hub adaptor was at the front door! So the project began....
First step, remove the air bag fuse. I don't want that thing blowing up in my face.
i got my sidewinder tool and removed the air bag pod
It was at this point that I realized muscle was not the answer to remove this wheel... i needed a puller.
Adaptor ON!
Here's the final result:

Yes it does increase the rigidity of the car. It will prevent flex from side to side in it. Probably won't be noticeable under normal driving conditions. Remember it is just one part, it may not make much of a difference, but combined with other parts to make the car more rigid it could set your car worlds apart from a stock impala. Remember, a more rigid car is a better car.

I can see side to side flex but another big concern is up and down, or angled flex. Had a car meet today with Hoosier INC, nothing special just a little get together. But we met at TRU motorsports in Indy and I figured I'd go pick up my NRG quick release

Had to take the wheel off and figure out which way to orient the system in order to work properly:
People eager to watch and stare until it becomes uncomfortable lol
Finally got it attached to the MOMO hub, looks good! (rubber sleeve is not covering the hub in this photo, making it look exposed
