Ok guys this is a late night update, but i got a lot done today so here we go!
First off, I got a new seatYonaka Ronin Cloth racing seat. Very comfortable, and keeps you held in place really well. I have a butt-gasm everytime i sit in it.
Old seat.
New seat.
I wanted to utilize the original power adjusting brackets, so i had to fashion some adapters.
^That's not me, it's my father. I'm not married. Ladies HOLLA. Actually i'm taken, sorry. lol
^Adapters are complete! Now to install them on the race seat.
And here it is. Simple, yet with a lack of sleep, surprisingly complicated...
Here's a picture of the original power brackets. Very heavy, not cool GM!
Needed to drill out the original holes to a bigger size:
Brackets on adapters on the seat!
Time to install into the SS!
Aaaaaand:
Vuaalaaa!
Here's a video i did earlier tonight, it's worth looking at if you like my updates. I quoted the price wrong for the seat, it's $600 for two not one. Woops.

It's been awhile since my last update, finals and everything made time short but now that those are done i'm back into the updates again!
So i painted the rest of my interior panels I had pulled out:
The only things left for the interior are the door panels, center console, steering wheel, and cleaning the carpet. Gonna try hot shot first, if that doesn't work then i'll head over to menards and rent the rug doctor. Center console and door panels will be painted stock again. The steering wheel is still up for debate. I might just replace the original wrap, costing me ~$60. But I'd really like to replace it with a quick release hub and a custom wheel. Just depends on money and whether or not I really wanna delete the air bag like that.
Just a pic of the car pulled out of the garage. One thing that drives me insane is the large gap in the width of the fenders and the wheel. I was thinking spacers but i'm really looking into new wheels. Most likely going for a 17x9 knock aluminum wheel styled after the Cragar soft 8, in black.
This is a pic of them on another SS:
I wouldn't be running the chrome centers, most likely be sticking with all blackLast edited by SuperSport; 12-17-2012, 04:18 PM.

Since you are going with a cage just keep the stock steering wheel until the cage is in, then tie the harness to the cage, and the harness through the seat. Then do a quick release with a custom wheel because your head wont hit the steering wheel with a harness.

Found what looks to be a good deal on c6 grand sport rims, bare metal which means i can paint/powdercoat them any color I want. After Christmas I'll be sending a message to the seller to see if they're still available. So here's the question guys.... what color???? I was thinking gloss black, white, or silver (possibly chrome, although i'm not a grandpa...)

Wheels are no longer availableso i decided to comfort myself by ordering a new front sway bar and a MOMO steering wheel hub adapter. Now i'm going to be looking into quick release systems as well as steering wheels!
Has anyone ever used the SPARCO quick release systems before?
They are much cheaper than NRG's otherwise i'd look there first.
