That looks great! I've always been a fan of your car since I saw it on BMW Syndikat.de. I asked the same question there as someone else, why no M3 3.2 engine, but your points are very valid.

I have a M52B28 myself and it just runs so much smoother than an M3 engine. If I would ever upgrade, I would go for the same engine as yours. It's such a great and smooth engine. The upgrade of the M52. I prefer a nice smooth ride over the "raw" S50 engines. Must be a relatively easy transplant too I guess? (You said "less safe" about the M54, you probably meant the S50).

PS: That Z3 airbox looks identical to mine and much be identical to your 320 engine too. But you got ot for a reason of course. How is it different?

PPS: Since you're from Poland, do you happen to know this guy? I don't understand Polish but I'm really wondering what engine is in this guys car. I think it's a M54 as well.

Air Box is diffrent, Z3 have 90mm diameter of the flowmeter !

Yes M54 engine has 90mm , M52 only 80mm.

My friend has a complete new exhaust system designed for this engine. He has also installed the sport software that controls operation of the motor. Cutting speed is now above 7,000 RPM.
