Got 205/45/16's mounted on the Style 5's today and I'm really happy with how they look. Can't wait to see them on the car. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, I totally spaced on bringing my camera with me today. The wheels are really dirty in the pics too.

Small update. Nothing has really changed with the car yet, I'm just gathering everything I need while I have the money. I bought all new suspension bushings, control arms and swaybar linkages. Can't wait to install everything and feel the difference! I decided against polyurethane in favor of stock rubber.

Scored these e38 16x8 Style 5's for cheap yesterday while I was down in Ventura. They are in really good shape, I'm pumped on them. Ordering 42draft designs adapters today and will try to find some tires for a reasonable price.

Also waiting on a few packages full of new suspension refresh goodies.

In the E30, how the gears/odometer was designed, that one little small gear usually breaks almost everytime if you are to reset the odometer while driving. That's why it is so hard to find an e30 with a working odometer as well as knowing how many miles are on you e30. I have never known how many miles are on any of the 5 e30s ive owned.

If you look at the picture of my new gears installed, you'll notice that there is one gear which is a lot smaller than the rest, off to the very right. That gear had broken apart completely and fallen down into a dark abyss never to be seen again, so they definitely needed to be replaced. Plus the old gears were really soft and broke apart very easily once I took them off.

Another way to tell that they needed to be replaced was that the odometer didn't work at all before I replaced the gears, and worked perfectly after I replaced them

haha it's $20 in parts and a pretty easy fix, you'd have no problem doing it yourself. Honestly the hardest part of the whole job is getting the cluster out, which isn't even that bad. You just have to use a little more force than you're comfortable using.
