I think I can answer this for Michael, its a stock 1.8t with a 50trim, external wastegate, big intercooler with all custom end tanks and pipes so he can still use highbeams, and I am not sure what he is planning on running for injectors/MAF/tune, pretty sure he just wanted to get it running with stock ECU and whatnot for now. It'll be plenty to power an already gutted E30 and weight savings alone is cool.

Thanks, engine is stock. Coming from VW's I have ran this set up in the past & I know the factory forged internals will hold real good power (just under 400 before one starts destroying rods). I am not going to go for them type of numbers yet anyways.Originally posted by Byron View PostAs much as I **** 1.8t's, I'm really excited about this. What's done (if anything) to the engine?
Like Bear said right now its stock tune/ low boost & will be until I work out any quirks it may have. I want to see how with slides now with low power (not as low as the old e) but still under powered, it is significantly lighter. I will get some bigger injectors & will be making a call to unitronic for my tune after the drift event at lime rock.
My old mk2 with this set up made 242tq @ 13lbs and that would be great in this car. After next season and I get more drifting skills I will most likely then up the boost for some more power.
