  • Karasu Motorsport [Civic EF 89' Touge Master]

    Hi everyone,

We just made this thread to share with you all the updates that we are going to do on our new project for this year. We are going to build this EF for trackdays, but as we wanted something diferent, we'll try using the Standard D16A7 engine, make a miniMe and get as many NA Bhp from it as we could.

Bought a 89' EF civic with no rust, lots of spare parts and a D16A7 engine inside:

Installed new braided brake lines, Ultraracing chasis bars, new wheels and Slick Tyres, new gearbox and driveshafts

    All New bushes

An Apexi AFC Neo, to control the Vtec Solenoid on the MiniMe Build, before we were ready to install a Standalone ECU.

    Z6 Head

Opened the head cover to see how the car was inside... we found this mess , and a horrible valve adjustment made by the other owner

    How bad the cam was

New rear Braces and camber adjusters

Getting ready to get the engine out, stripping all the interior, A/C and Heater

    Cocked head gasket

    Cleaned valves and head

Big problem on the 3rd Rod bearing

The engine Stripped to go to the Workshop to install all the new parts

This is all the bought to do the build:

    CP 12:1 Pistons
    D16Y8 Metal Head Gasket
    Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Eagle H Beam Rods with ALC Bearings
    Lighter flywheel balanced with Crankshaft
    APracing Cluth
Stage3 Race Comp Cam with titanium retainers and springs
Bronce Valve guides and vitton seals
    Big intake and Exhaust Valves
    68mm throttle boddie
Custom long Exhaust Manifold with 2.5" exhaust, Decat.
    AEM Cam adjuster
    MegaSquirt V2 ECU StandAlone

Hope to get close to 200Bhp with those new parts and ECU management...

Hope u like how it started, be back with more updates soon!

    Regards,
    Pablo.

Should be a fun little track toy.
