  • Stanced Daily Driver : Chevy S10 Budget Build

Well , I got a new daily driver that I've been needing for a looooong time. Reason Being my Benz takes ALL of my gas money in one day so, I bought a 1997 Chevy S10 Regular Cab Short Bed off of my dad
Hopfully I could get a lowering kit this weekend and see where I could get some steelies.
Does anybody know where to get some ? The local off road shop isn't getting any until next month. Bedisde that if I don't Find some I'll be going for some VIP Modulars in 18x10 Front and 18x12.5 in the Rear & some Recardos Seats just don't know if I wanna spend that much on seats. The only thing I have now , is 2 15" Kickers & 3 amps

In the future I wanna Shave & Tuck the bay once I get some funds up

Welcome. What's wrong with the wheels now? They would be better than steelies in my opinion.

Are you trying to save money or spend money? Steelies and VIP Modulars have a big price difference, I don't know much about the VIP Modulars, but with the little research I've done the wheels alone would cost almost double what that model s10 goes for

Well , I wanna do something simple right now. But then, I wanna do a full shaved & tucked bay , vip's , interior , motor , ect but now ,
I just wanna do a drop , steelies and some exhaust work.

If the case is that Vip's cost that much, maybe I could look for some BBS LM , CH-R , or RS wheels

Also, the steelies I have on know, I don't like but I wanna go an inch or two wider.

Budget build + VIP Modulars... should be interesting.

Seriously though, use all your money on getting it low, and don't expect a lowering kit to get it low enough. Those wheels are great for now

IDK man. My Mercedes is the inline 6 cyl 2.8 litre C280 and i get way better gas mileage than my S10 ever did. You have a W203 M112 v6 which should do even better mileage wise than my car. Unless something is wrong. you should average around 24 MPG maybe you have a failing fuel pump or need a new fuel filter ? but Without a doubt my 4.3 litre chevy V6 drank a lot more than the benz does .
