  • Please dont judge me.....

Well I know its coming but I figured I would post my car on here. Not sure if Im going to keep it and see what I can do with it as far as stance goes or sell and get something better. Anyway its a 07 chevy impala with 22x8 et35, tinted windows, k&n filter. This was def not my first choice for a car when I came back from germany but I needed a car and this is what I got.

    When I first got it

    Got the 22s

I see nc plates, what part of nc? If you bagged it on some 18's or 20's I think it'd turn out pretty badass.

Im stationed at ft. bragg. Yeah I was thinking about bagging it but not sure I want to dump the money into it. As different as it would be to stance and fit a impala just not sure I want to yet.

I was looking at some land about an hour or so away from there. It would be a fairly nice VIP styled build if you stick with it.

smaller and different wheels, moar low, and maybe a front lip, it'd look pretty decent imo.

NOTE: not every build is for everyone, if you don't like it then don't comment because someone somewhere will, we all have different tastes and we don't need to have any drama in builds.

                yes unfortunately I am serious.

Don't worry guys im not one to get butt hurt when someone doesn't like what I do to my car(s). I do what I do to them for myself and nobody else. If someone doesn't like what I do then they are entitled to there opinion.

I was thinking about maybe going for a VIP theme. Again not sure yet its still up in the air if Im going to keep it or get something different. I just posted this on here cause I figured I was always posting/commenting on peoples threads/cars so I might as well show what Im driving.

at least you're WTB is a bit more promising
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

                  Sincerely,

P.S. Is your tail a wagon?

A little constructive criticism: The 22's have got to go. Either go away, or go wayyyy up in the fenders. As said, something smaller like 18's would fit much better. Wheels that large have effectively raised the ride height and as you know, that's not what this website is about. As far as I know, you have 5x114.3 which allows you to run all kinds of cool wheels that would be unique and fit nicely. If it were me, I'd sell the 22's and put it back on stock wheels then use that money to buy some lowering springs or coilovers or bags and then find some wheels once you get your ride height figured out.

                      Im going to judge anyway.

I see plenty of these cars around compton and inglewood done exactly like this. I think that it is an eyesore, not the car, but the style of "big rimzzzz git muneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee blingbling"

I do think that your choice in car to VIP(if you want to) is completely original and by the looks of things should turn out sick.
Sell those wheels and get something stancey and nice, not "chrome meanz i git bitchez" but like an actual color or polished wide low offset wheel.

Because you live in new york I think you would want some adjustability on the fly, so I would research and save up for air bags.

A lot of people build cars for themselves, but in reality if they knew what people thought about when they see the car, they would not have built it that way. It is much more fun to have a car that not only you thoroughly enjoy, but most everyone around you too.

Take my advice to heart if you want to, or just cast it aside.

Just trying to help you out here.

On a side note, welcome to Stance|Works I really want to see where this goes.

Yeah i figured I wouldnt get alot of love with this. I know its not stanced which is why its in the build thread. As for the big rims there actually not that big 22s are not big to me. I didnt have to lift my car or make any suspension mods to fit them. They bolted right on and I have full lock to lock steering. I dont know how you came to the conclusion that I live in NY, maybe reading is hard?(lol i kid i kid) but I am stationed in NC. Anyway....I am thinking about gettting some springs to get rid of the wheel gap...unfortunately they dont make coilovers for impalas.

Those huge wheels really make look it strange. Also agree on smaller ones. But hey, if YOU like em, keep em and convince us that this will look cool.

Personally, it's not my taste, but i like it for what styling you're going for. The only thing is i know you want to be unique, but the styling you're going for isn't in its self. They all kinda look the same typically.. That being said I'm into slabs (texas styling) so i can still appreciate your vision and hard work.
