  • Blamed's CC1 Accord Coupe

    Hi chaps!

My name is Tom, I'm (very) new to the forum, be nice!

Here's my Accord as I bought it.

It's a '93 CC1 Coupe. 2.0 Non-Vtec Auto. It was entirely standard other than cut springs and OEM wheels in black.

My initial plans were pretty straight forward, buy some decent wheels, clean it up a touch and head down the OEM route.

It took a while, but I settled finally on a knackered set of Work VSX in 17x8 guise, et 35.

    Here's what they looked like:

They needed a bit of work, so off to the refurber's they went!

The guy sprayed them completely the wrong colour, but I went with it.

Had to drop to a 205/40/17 tyre all round to get them under the arches, but was fairly happy with the fitment.

At this point I was really craving some extra lows. The car was sat nicely, but I couldn't help thinking "more?".

So, with the help of some eBay sleeves, we got her down a bit more.

Note the VR6 splitter fitted around the same time.

    Now we're talking!

after around 6 months I'd become tired of my wheels being peppermint green, so time for a respray.

Also test fitted some SSR mk1's at the same time...

    (Wasn't feeling them)

And so we arrive at where we are now... Removed roof rack and stickers, and I'm very happy with the stance now.

All comments and questions gladly welcomed!

    Tom.

Love these accords. But you should definitely convert to 5lug for more wheel options.

Thanks all. Havent got anymore with the SSR's on, they are Benny's (BA2 Prelude build).

15's are a touch small on such a long car.

Will hopefully start engine work soon, once funds allow.

Also need to roll rear arches so I can run 6-10mm spacers all round and finally sort the fitment out.

What are your engine plans? Reminds me of my friend's white coupe. The car looks good so far.

                              Engine plans......

Either - F18 VTEC with manual swap, no messing. Perhaps boost in the future. (This is the most cost effective plan)

Or - H22A with manual swap. Minor NA mods in the future. (This is the least cost effective plan)

Either way, need a manual box in there ASAP, partly for driveability, mainly because it will offer me the extra 6-10mm clearance on the underside. My current AutoSpastic box has a 10cm long crack along the leading edge from too many lows.

Here's the picture of said damage....
