I'm assuming no spacers are being use in the above pics correct?
Please read my last post. Or see what Kevin said. The spacers were not on. I just got done putting them on. I'll take pictures later. It's getting dark and it's almost dinner time.
On to my update. So the car was running great. Until I switched batteries. Then it went back to having a rough ass idle. It's got a slight misfire. I spent all day looking for vacuum leaks trimming hoses that were cracking/loose. That didn't work.
So I moved on to the coil. I swapped out this nasty one
For this fancy one
That did nothing. So I moved on to plug wires. The wire for cylinder 3 was really loose and I can pop it in and out of its socket on the distributor way to easy.
My engine bay was a real mess. Not that it already wasn't but now it's worse.
Next I checked the battery and It seems to be normal. Next time I'm at work i'll fully test it.
I think this is where the problem lies. I looked through my maintenance records and this seems to be the only engine management item that hasn't been replaced. (In the last 4 years car has had new ECU, DME, plugs, plug wires, distributor, coil, and now intake boot and vacuum lines. This thing is ancient and I think I need a new one. There goes $200.
Might just convert it to an HFM
I also cleaned out my trunk. There was so much shit in there. It's so clean now.
So tomorrow. I'll take pics with the spacers. Bench test the AFM and hopefully try and patch some holes in my exhaust. Might even go for a motor mount who knows.
Small update. Contrary to my original post I actually have Bilstein sports. I have the adjustable rear spring perch.
So I traded the style 32s back. I deffenitely need to get 17s. I'll be able to go so much lower. Also run-flats suck.
Next up I got the car on the lift and changed the oil. I know nobody cares but I went from a 15w-50 race oil to 20w-50 Castrol. Car is a bit quieter now.
Then to test my battery for real I got this thing. Battery is fine. putting out like 762 CCA and it's supposed to do 750.
Then comes the fun part. I moved my rear spring perches all the way down.
The car is tucking in the rear now. I love it.
Here it is.
Then I went to the gas station and took a shot for the pic at the pump thread.
I have much better pictures on the way but the camera is at my GFs house so I'm screwed.
Tonight I'm going to drop the front a little more. And hopefully continue trying to diagnose this shitty vacuum leak.
That is awesome! There's a brown one of these visits a house few doors up from me, old couple, original owners, car even runs standard color-coded wheels, not a dent/scratch/rust patch anywhere... the potential! Your car looks great, what's next on the list for it? Yellow high beam? I want a BMW...

Haha I've had a lot of people ask me if I want to French my lights. I want to keep the exterior the way it is. Ass I want is to repaint the bumpers in not crappy paint and get it sitting just right on some 17s.
As far as plans I'm actually starting to get the things I need for what I want to do. It's not stance related but I hope it will make my car a little more unique. Check back in for some updates.
So tonight. Hell of a night. I'm so tired. After working a 10 hour day I came home took a 15 minute nap and got to work.
First up was a damage report. I hit a pot hole leaving the bank 2 days ago and did this. The lip is fine but but bent my bumper and knocked the screw out.
Next up is the CB radio I never posted a picture of. It's chillin in my glove box. I still need an antenna. That'll come before SOWO.
One of my zip tie creations snapped finally so I replaced it. Laft my colored ones in Charlotte.
This is the best thing ever. My GFs dad got it for me. Love it.
First bit of work was operation go lower a little bit. All I did was cut the top and bottom spring pads out in the front. I got maybe 10mm lower. But hey every bit counts.
Then I got under and inspected everything. Remember kids safety first. These a 6 ton jack stands. I'm not dying anytime soon.
First I had a look at the lower control arms. They look to be in good shape minus I've scraped them a few times.
Next is tie rods. They are in great shape. The ends are pretty new. I finally fixed my toe out problem so now the car steers straightish. It took forever though.
Then it was time for upper control arms. I thought these were bad but I guess not. They look fine.
You probably can't see to well but this is my cracked motor mount. I think this is the front end wobble issue. I have the new mount I just need to do it.
Nice looking oil pan kinda. It's not to bad I've never really hit it hard. If I get a chance I'll make a skid plate tomorrow.
This is my strut brace I got for free. It's off an X5 and it's like half an inch to short to use so I'm going to make plates so I can fit it. It'll look awesome I think.
Now I totally screwed up. This was me adjusting the toe. I failed to realize that the tie rods run to the back of the hub so I accidentally went the wrong way the first time which totally ruined my efforts. But no matter I got it fixed.
Now for a small wrap up. After I got done with all that BS I went inside and grabbed a spray bottle and some soapy water. I sprayed everything in the engine bay. No leaks anywhere. So I fucked with the battery terminal. Nothing.
Next I started unplugging vacuum lines. None of them made any difference except the PCV which actually made it run worse. I even started unplugging spark plug wires which also seemed to do nothing. So I have no clue what it is. I'm ordering parts to try and fix it. So we'll see how that goes.
Lastly I took two good pics. One of the bay with the mocked up brace.
And another of the lowered front end. I love the way this car looks. I just want it like 2 inches lower. I need to get some coilovers, bad.
Thanks for looking. I hope to have some good updates in the next few days. With progress.
i normally dislike 18s on e28s, but it just looks so damn good, especially on your car and with those wheels. any other 18 would look like poop. the rear tuck is so perfect, and i think if you got your fronts to slightly ruck it would be money!

Thanks! I'm working on bringing the front down. But the only way I could tuck front is with camber plates. So that'll be a while.
Today's accomplishments.
1. I cleaned the garage
2. I wired up my third coil. It's another MSD but this one is a Blaster 2f whatever that means.
3. Did nothing
The car is actually running a little better now. I'm pretty sure the coil was part of the problem. My top end power has come back a bit but it still idles like shit.
I forgot to add this to my last update. At a car show I went to in Burlington literally 5 hicks came up to me after I parked and were like "what kinda cam you got in that thing boy." I facepalmed and proceeded to explain to them that it was my shitty idle.
Also I'll post pics tomorrow but this coil uses different connectors. i like them a lot better and I also made it so I can easily switch back to standard ones JIC.
Anyways. Pics tomorrow. Here's an in car video I took with my new (to me) 3GS
I love this exhaust more and more each day.
The fuck you was to the dick who left his high beams on as he passed me. You can hear me rub a few times. That's the consequence of me being on my bottom perch. It'll have to come back up when I go to Charlotte.
And the little pops you hear when I let off are actually the car shooting flames. I love it!
Beautiful car man...I'm very jealous! Sucks to hear about your m3 though
Thanks, and yeah I miss the speed and the grip but this car looks so much better.
Small update. I got my Christmas present. Lol It cost me like $120 total. So worth it. Both of the items got excellent reviews.
So I pulled the car in the shop and looked at the old wiring. It was ass. I found 3 random grounds just chilling in my trunk. I also found a power wire that connects to nothing and leads to my glove box. No clue what it was but I threw it out.
Here they are.
It was rainy so I pulled my car in the garage and noticed my roof rack looked like sex. I wish it looked like that all the time.
I ran the new power wire through the car. Had to take out the back seats. The bench was easy as always. But the entire back rest was one piece. Dafuq?
That's my Heinekin heat shield from my e36. I've been debating throwing it on. But it's to much of a pain in the ass to raise the hood with my bent hinge.
Amp all wired up.
Then I had to redo the sub output wires and let me tell you. E28 dashes suck dick to pull. Took me forever. That damn thing put up a fight.
Then I put it in the box and screwed the amp to the back of it. Looks pretty clean.
While I was cleaning under my seats I found this. No clue what it plugs in to. But it's unplugged.
Here are some fresh shots of the car with the rear lowered. I need to get some with the front down. Those will come by the weekend.
I think next on my list of things to get are
1. New 205/40s for the rear
2. Fixed camber plates for the front (so I have more clearance to go lower
3. GC coilover conversion
4. E30 IX Konis for the front
5. New/revalved or shortened Bilsteins for the rear
