Did two events this past weekend. Piedmont drift and Driftaholics at VIR. Both events were fun. Piedmont didn't go so well. Probably my 5th or 6th run of the day I bent my tie rod, it bound up on the control arm, made the car hop, and got the wheel stuck on the frame.

you can see it happen in this video. Notice how one wheel is wayyyy out.

So I need to figure out a plan for those. Whether it be keeping spares or having custom ones made.

    finished the day unscathed otherwise.

friend of mine slammed his car into the only telephone pole on the whole course. Not a fun day for him.

Couple of videos I got while the car wasn't up on jack stands.

next day I went up to VIR with my buddy. Showed up like 2 hours late. I thought the track was going to be really slow and small. It was actually pretty fast, really good use of space. Only problem was how the event was being run. No run groups, no spin out rule, if you didn't know what you were doing (which was about 75% of the people you basically got 2 minutes to do whatever you wanted. So burnouts, donuts, driving in circles, whatever. Also two cars were automatic and two others were open diff. It was kind of a mess. I had a great time though. Linked the track first try ( also the first one at the event to do i.) Ran some tandem and did some sketchy stuff.

We got bored so my friend in the e30 and I decided to mix it up a bit.

    and some pictures.

Rear end of the car is cut out, wheels are on. Car looks petty goofy being that wide with only 8 inch wheels. So I'll need to do something about that in the future. But for now it's time to focus on boost. Here are some pictures of what's going on.

And if your next question was, well when will it be done? The answer to that is, soon. The first of my two new quarter panels came in so I can completely finish the left side of the car. Once the right side get here I still have to source a new door.

I also routed my charge piping. Used maybe half of what they sent me. Super easy. Intercooler and misc fan mounts and couplers are being ordered friday. Then all I'll need will be a turbo, injectors, and the material for the downpipe.

Well It's been a question I've had to answer at every car meet, every drift event, and every single time someone asks me about the car. "when are you going to do the rear?"

We No longer. It's happening. I gave up on trying to source more wheels. I'm just going to deal with having to pay to change tires at the track.

Sadly since the driver's quarter panel and the passenger's door are so mangled I'm going to be delayed a bit on those. But for the time being I'm going to go ahead gut everything up and get it ready to roll. I'm going to go ahead and throw a bash bar on the rear instead of the Pfeba lip because it's not going to fit. Really can't wait to be rolling around no looking like a tadpole. Also really need a huge wing for the rear. Like really, really need one.

    Pics...

Started the first cuts. The top half is completely free. Cutting the lower half is becoming more and more of a pain the further I progress.

The fitment is insane. 17x8 et-65ish with a 15mm spacer....

Going to paint the interior and the cage soon. It's starting to rust. (Duhhhh)

And on another note. If you know anyone who want to swag their e28 out, my genuine Pfeba valence is for sale. $200 plus shipping.

After spending two weeks stressing out about the SWD end of year bash, renting the car out for a drift event in burlington, and spending literally every night the preceding week up till at least 3 am, I got the car ready to go for the event.

So many things nearly went wrong and I'm so happy I made it out there. Between me accidentally installing a knuckle on the wrong side, it seizing up on the control arm and having to get another one from work a 7am on the saturday of the burlington event and then setting my rev limiter settings up backwards I was stressed out to the max.

That wasn't even the end of it. Austin's car (green E30) wouldn't start the week of the event and the night before we were up until at least 2am getting it back together after diagnosing a bad CPS, flooded motor, and extremely fouled plugs.

But wait, there's more. Francisco's (red E30) all started leaking when we got to the shop to work on the to other e30 so we had to change those as well.

So tired as hell, freezing cold, and delirious we all made it to the event.

    AND WE WENT HARD!

We looked all pretty in the pits at first. Then things starting getting violent.

    Then it just got weird.

    and then fancy

Team RAWDAWG had some of the best tandems of the day up until francisco destroyed my door and bent a tie rod.

We were supposed to do a team tandem comp, but unfortunately the practice run before we went for our comp run francisco bent the tie rod. We still had a load of fun regardless.
