Very very nice. I love this so much. The simplicity, the fun factor, the color. I want one.

A few more tools sourced and I'll finally be able to get mine started. Unfortunately not in time for SoCal Euro this weekend though.

I've been looking at W108s HARD here lately, and would love to be able to actually check one out in person. Your car is absolutely gorgeous, sir. Bravo.

ok, i got a re-donk good deal on this Finny, been searching the dude down for over a year, and searching for a finny for god knows how long, this was too good to pass up and more importantly, its the car ive been chasing down for awhile.
not too much will be done to this one, just lower it, been tuning it up. Deal with my wife was i couldnt really spend any money on it as were still saving up to buy another house.I'll start a sep. thread for this at some point.

Man this thread is like my Bible right now! Amazing work! I picked up a 73 280se 4.5 for dirt cheap...so cheap it might hurt people feelings lol. It's only got 88k miles and it's a clean title two owner car. I love that color pearl gray?. That's the color I knew I wanted when I saw it on a 300sel . I'm gonna do the white roof though.ONE WHO NEVER PUSHES THE LIMITS NEVER PROGRESSES!!

Ive heard that its not that hard to pull the dash apart, just time consuming, check out this link:
Ive only redone my glove box and ash tray [as it was the easiest to pull]. I'll probably pull the rest out next weekend, thats if my heater levers come in by then, my dash bow is somewhat trashed, I build furniture too, sure Ive managed to get most of the laminate layers back in place, just need to re-veneer it. Then...i have to figure out what to do with my cracked up dash pad

Yes, can wait to see more of the fintail. That thing dumped would be amazing, however it doesnt need to be either. Really cool car. You have quite the stable going on sirOriginally posted by mike-81-240d View PostThe fintail looks ultra proper even at that height. I wouldn't be so worried to dump it.

Thanks guys! I havent had much time to do anything with any of the cars, been doing alot of house stuff trying to get our current house ready to sell. Kills me though were coming up on winter, I **** messing with cars during this time of year.
We did go pick up a chrimas tree in the finny, the guy refused to tie the tree to the roof, so he threw it in the trunk....im gonna repaint the car anyways, so it wouldnt bother me if it scratched the paint up.
