    alright!! progress this weekend! Car has been painted! was a crazy time, thought it was going to rain all day with my redneck backyard paint job being outside, but luckily the weather was in my favor at least while i was painting, i'll let the pics do the talking:

    taped:

    sealed:

    painted!:

    scared that it was going to rain soon, soooo....refurbished gas tank finally goes back in:

    was actually very surprised that the car fired up immediately since it sat for a month not running.

    im sure you guys were tired of seeing the cars progress sitting in the same old spot, so, just to prove it does actually move:

    and finally up for the night for the upcoming showers:

    So...the story on the color, the paint store i went to did not have a book that went back to 72, so we had to pick a color that was a close as stock....that being said, we settled on a color out of the book, when i went to spray the color today, it was NOWHERE near the color we picked out!!! I was extremely pissed as I was painting the car, but being as i am on a tight deadline I wasnt about to stop and go back. As i continued to paint the car, the color started to grow on me and I am actually begining to like it, let me know what you guys think!

    Next up: hubcaps to be painted, cowl and gas door. Cleaning up trim and interior then dropping it like its hot!

    ok, so some updates, the body is finally done! Just need to go back and feather some areas and remove some paint chips along the door edges, etc. Then, the game plan for the weekend is spot prime, seal and paint!!!

    I should have new door seals coming in the following weekend and just ordered me a new hood star. Once the body is painted, time to start lowering this bad boy!

    little bit of drama....

    Yep.....both 6.3s.

    I bought the red one as a parts car, but then I didn't really need anything on the white one, and the red one is too complete & too good to wreck.

    Nice job on that 108 resto!!!!

    it seem to me you would be capable of fabing up some bag brackets, mount the bags in the place of springs, put four of these (http://bagriders.com/modlab/products...ION-VALVE.html) where ever you would like and your done. i have been using the same style valves in the back of a lifted tacoma everyday for almost a year with out any leaks or problems.

    I've been around W108/109s for about 10 years, so I might be able to help with some details from time to time.

    Another awesome resource is;

    A couple of my cars (Factory airbags....1969 baby!!!!!!!);

    love the two benzes, are they both 6.3's?! I love the ronal wheels! The first w108 I restored was back in 2002 with the same engine but had a sun roof, below are some before and after pics:

    Thanks for following and all the support guys!
