      • I would have finish polishing the faces myself. I don't know why people complain about polishing wheels, it's not that bad actually. Just have some music and/or tv playing in the background to keep you company and time flies. Sucks you had to deal with this and he took your money for basically nothing -__-

Can't wait to see the final result of said wheels!

          • Surprise, surprise, I got delayed again . Got the wheels all polished the best that I could, built them up, and ordered some tires from Tire Rack. 225/45/17 & 255/40/17 Fuzion ZRIs. I knew they run narrow, but I figured they'd stretch pretty well since that's what Fuzions are known for, right? Got them in and went over to Butler Tire to get them mounted, and the tires won't stretch. At all. Turns out the sidewalls are some of the stiffest that the guys at Butler had ever seen. Their best guess is that Fuzion changed the sidewall construction for some reason. So, I sold the tires to a friend of mine and Geordie at Butler has some Falkien 452s that will be put on when I get paid Friday.

Anyway, here's the last pic I took of the wheels, right before I sealed them up.

Looks a lot better than the way you received them. Can't wait to see them mounted on the car

              • Should be on the car this weekend. I won't be posting any full shots of it though, as my front bumper looks like ass. Getting my new chrome front bumper/airdam next weekend!

I'm just sitting here wanting to touch myself to those wheels.

Looks good CJ, bummer that you got kicked for the tires.

                      • Yeah, oh well. Sold the Fuzions to a friend of mine and only lost a few bucks in the process so I can't complain too much.

                          • started from the beginning of the thread - glad you put a shine back on the car than the flat.

Loving the wheels, should compliment the car nicely! The bumper you are getting.. did you find it off another car? are you getting it chromed? is it in good condition? (sorry for the weird questions, I have an e28 myself with both aluminum bumpers cracked..)

                            keep up the clean work

Thanks man. The bumper I have is from a euro e24, and it's already chrome. It is in good condition, but the rubber trim needs to be replaced. If you have a US bumpered e28 it shouldn't be hard to get crack free bumpers for it, or convert to euro bumpers if you find a set.

Yeah, I have been debating taking the bumpers off, moving them in, or euros.. She is DIRTY so I don't want to waste euros on there so I may go the root of having my friend fill the crack, moving them in doing a brushed look.. We'll see.

Looking forward to pics of the new bumper.
