For the Children: Ol Dirty Bastard gets a build thread (e24 content)
I sold my 318is two years back, now I'm thinking of picking up another vintage Bimmer (2002 maybe), something to keep for a while. (probably should have held on to the 3).
Saw your car parked in Redlands yesterday, it caught my eye as I was pulling around. Looking good and low. Showed my wife why I still like vintage BMWs, just dont get to see them much.
Haha, thanks man! Yeah I've seen maybe 2 or 3 other e24s around Redlands, though none of them were modified. Couple of e30s out here too. Seems like 80's BMWs are a rare thing around here.

Small update: bought a used stock in-tank fuel pump for ODB tonight. Hopefully now I'll be able to fill it up without fuel spilling everywhere like I do with the Airtex pump that doesn't completely seal to my stock sending unit.
Looks like I won't be picking up the M106 till after SEMA, the seller is super busy getting his project car ready for that show, but oh well. May have BimmerHeads do a little work to the cylinder head and cam to get a little more power out of it.
Cant wait to see you start the turbo swap, that should make it more fun to drive.
I can say, I did one year at h20i without a car and I think I had more fun, then again that was when cops were not a problem tho.
Gonna be a while before the turbo motor can go in. Still have to plan for and save for the next move. Wherever that will be to. As much as I love the south, I feel like moving there would be backtracking in a way. PNW feels like a more blank slate to start over in, though the cost of living there is much higher than TN/GA. So, we'll see how it goes.
This will be my 3rd time at H2O, 2nd one without my car. I almost like it better that way.
I am, but with the purchase of the new motor, driving is unfortunately out of the budget for this year. So, I'll be flying into Baltimore and riding down with some friends. If years past are any indicator, as cool as cruising the strip in your own car can be, I'd much rather leave ODB where he won't be harassed by Ocean City's "finest."
How do the e36 seats fit? the e46 can work but are not a perfect fit. at least they are comfy.
e36 seats will require some sort of adapter to get the rails in properly. Also looking at aftermarket seat options, but I don't want anything that looks too...race-y.
Small update: bought a M106 e23 745i turbo motor for Big Baby Jesus. Won't be going into the car until after I relocate, but that gives me time to research and map out the swap.
Currently trying to find a set of either manual dove grey e36 vaders, or another set of power e24 sport seats. The busted "comfort" seats I currently have are murder on my low back.
