Would there be any possible way to camber the rears in so the lip is closer to the quarter?

Should camber in at least a little bit once the car is on the ground and low. Hell, with the old Spax springs and Koni Reds on their lowest spring perch setting, my rear camber was -3.9 on both sides, lol.

Wow, that's insane. Curious to see how those rears look mounted up with tires. Can't wait to see it

                    • Small update today. Sent the centers out to get machine polished because hand polishing them was going to drive me bonkers. Should have them back at the end of the week at the latest, then it's wheel building time.

                        • Sorry for the lack of updates. The centers have been at the polishers for 2 weeks now, cause the guy burned out his drill while polishing them, and he's doing it in his spare time after working at his day job.

Whatever, for 150 bucks I can't really complain much.

                          • Stupidly Frustrating Update below:

I sent the centers out 3 weeks ago to get polished. I decided to go with a guy that was recommended from bimmerforums that I'd never dealt with before. This was mostly due to budget constraints, as he said he could get them done for half of what I was quoted from other shops. He also said he could get them done in a week.

Two weeks later, this is what I get back:

Furious doesn't even begin to cover it. He hand sanded them to 2000 grit, then used a Mothers Powerball and some polish. First and last time I deal with someone that I don't know personally.

Anyway, I decided that rather than pay more money and delay getting tires as a result, I'd finish the job that he was supposed to do.

Yes, I'm doing this in my livingroom. Thank God for understanding girlfriends. A week in and I'm to the point where I can clearly see my reflection in them. Few more days of finishing and they should be good to roll, and by then I'll have all the money I need for tires.

I also decided that I'd take a stab at building a trunk set up for ODB, since there aren't a lot of options for bolting my tank and compressor to the floor sheet metal. Some MDF, marine grade vinyl, a drill, and staple gun and I wound up with a presentable set up.

That's all I've got for now, sorry it's not very exciting yet.
