Dude that's a nice thread you got here!
Love the BBS rims, get them definitely!
How did you paint the calipres? Sprayed?
          Not low, just slow.

I sprayed brake cleaner on them obviously, then just put some cardboard behind in the wheel well to protect paint and all that. then sprayed.

I like the textured black on the bottom, looks real good. I hope you find some decent wheels for it, keep up the good work man.

I know a lot of people talk about how bad the roads are where they live but still manage.

Where I live, you have to take at least one side street or back road with holes about 1-2 inches deep because my county has no many. Something as simple as going to walmart would leave me having to park on the interstate and walk half a mile.

With the stock ride height on the car, the main reason i painted the bottoms was to hide all the tears and scratches from scrapes. I wish you could see the entrance to the taco bell.

but seriously, if I lowered my car even an inch, i couldnt even get into the commuter parking lot of the college ill be going to.

I recently just had an E28 drop into my life. By Recently i mean yesterday around noon. If all goes well, that will be the car ill drop. So at least ill have one car that i can still go places in.
I don't mean to be a dick but most people on here have low cars and deal with the roads. The amount of road construction where I live is ridiculous, manhole covers sticking up 4 inches, etc. Sometimes it takes an extra 10 minutes to get somewhere because I have to take a detour. Just gotta deal with it.

What he said... slam it already, I know the roads in KY, they're not that bad. Took me 2 minutes to get out of the Hotel Parking Lot I was in because it was so steep, normally I just bomb it and hope the lip doesn't come off but this was something whack.

I dont think yourcoming off as a dick. I know people still manage. Most of my excuses come from lack of money and lack of installaton knowledge to be honest.

I just don't know enough to be honest. My dad knows a ton about cars, but since he absolutely hates basically everything i want to do, he doesnt help. I need to make new friends haha.
He also has all the tools, if he doesnt approve, cant use the tools. ITs really dumb. I need to move out.

Alright well that makes some sense... At least get some IPD Springs (can't believe in suggesting that) and some nicer wheels with some closer to flushish fitment. Doesn't need to be scraping the ground, doesn't need to be rubbing tire off on the fender (although that's how I like it).

It just needs to be not on stock suspension and not stock wheels to even begin to fit in here on Stanceworks.

                            Update:

Havn't done much lately because my dad finally gave in to starting a project with me. Looking for something now. Beetle mostly. Mid 60's. Theyre a definitely in abundance where I live. Just need to find the right condition for the right price.

This was a good find for what we wanted condition wise, but it had a huge title issue so we had to leave it. It was about a quarter mile from my house.
