this is cool, but don't ruin it bc of the rarity of the 4dr corvair...I would love to see some air on it

That's why i don't want to cut any major irreplaceable parts. Its staying static, air ride isn't the "look" we are going for.

First time I'v seen 4door corvair.
But the rear camber could be more modest

This is badass, but you deserve a punch in the head for calling it a ratrod.

No its not a true by definition rat rod but, its being built to be driven as often as possible and as long as have anything to do with it it will never be painted. Which fits the term to my liking.

So I've found some spare time in between projects to post some updates on the old rust bucket. Since i plain on driving it to h2oi I've been trying to get it running better. When we first got the car it ran and drove, but it wouldn't idle in gear and it idled in neutral way to high ( around 1500rpm). So far I've clean and balanced the carbs, and adjusted the timing. I've got the idle down and it will idle in gear but it wont restart after it gets to temp. So my next task is to replace the ignition system and adjust the valves.

                                Hi Lowballin,

I've been wanting to bag my 62' corvair 2dr for the longest time. I've been collecting parts for my air system but cant seem to find the right air bag mounts. Where are your bags mounted? Do you have any pictures of your install? I love your 4dr btw.. I don't think ive ever seen one that low. Any info would be appreciated.
