does anyone know where to get a good skid plate for the e30? i dont wanna crack my oil plan. lol I've been looking around and they all seem to be the same just sold by different people. all around the same price.

Skid plate is a waste of time. It gives you less ground clearance and usually when you hit anything it will bend, hit your pan, which cracks it.Originally posted by d.parker View Post

I'm going to have to disagree, my race skids has saved me litterally thousands of dollars, and it's the weakest one. Doesnt even have a bend.

skid plate maybe saved me a few times, but also was worthless many times - after a few hits, starts getting pushed into oil pan.. then one time - boom oil pan explodes. this was w the 318is in SF - unavoidable.. I have most of the city memorized now though lol.
