Thanks guys. Good news! My motor comes out next week! I found someone to sell my old swap to and a buddy of mine is helping me with the swap in his storage. He's wrapping up a KA Datsun actually. So the next few days is the motor reassembly and then just waiting.

Well good news is two more checks and this swap is going down. The custom driveshaft/possible custom oil pan are the last little components of this shit!

I love this truck. Grew up with an '87 in the family, have never not wanted one since.

Btw fwiw anything from the z series and g series engines are all interchangeable and that goes from 1.6L all the way to 2.6's

It is a little bit. Any aftermarket at all is in AUS. There's manifolds and forged rods on ebay.aus. I think I've seen the space cab your talking about. It's white and black? Check out ozgemini.com. It's mostly opels and stuff but they all use isuzu 2.3's and 2.6's

It just seemed like a pain. No real aftermarket support. Custom turbo manifold, standalone, things like that. I've seen a build where a guy did it in a spacecab and it came out really awesome! Just looked pricey.

It's late but I got motivated to update this thread. The motor I originally bought was a little too much to rebuild. It had 3 bent rods, this one being the worst.

    So I said...

And bought a broken timing chain KA for 100, only cylinder 3 had two slight piston to valve contacts, so I'm just going to smooth them out, they're minor. So I'm left with a lot of KA parts (excuse the mess, it just got in the garage yesterday)

I also got allll the parts I need, such as the slave/hardline, driveshaft, cluster, fuel pump, and the redone head.

    Walbro255 inline (shit picture)

    Mmmmm.

And just 'cause I had a run in with a rodeo:

Sooo ultimately this should go down next month, I just need the oil pan and driveshaft custom made and I should be in there like swimwear.
