  • DC2 Integra Just For Looks...

Well after much creepin around the forum rarely making a post I figured it was time to start contributing a little. First off I've always been into cars and Espially the "Stance" aspect. Since I can remember I've always liked lowering anything from model cars to lawnmowers and with the progression of everything I like to try tio take what others do a step further. In this case My 94 Integra.

Now I'd like to note that the Integra was far from my list of cars I was considering when I was searching for my next vehicle. I mosly was in search of something along the lines of a Volvo 240, older Jaguar, or Mercedes but nothing i found suited what i was goin for. I came accross this car when a friend of my dads said he had the car for sale cheap(I like cheap). I went and looked at it and was honestly not expecting the car to be in what to me is pretty good condition. He said the car had been stolen and lots was missing but nothing too hard to fix or replace. The wheels, tires and brakes were gone which my dads buddy replaces at no charge. As i started the vehicle to check it out I imediately noticed the exhaust and intake were also missing along with the radio and all the speakers. all of which was not a big deal to me. I decided I would get the car not really knowing what direction I would go with it. I decided, as with most things, it must be something rediculous. But enough with the rambeling and on to pictures...

This is the day I had the car dropped off at my shop.

The car was already on lowering springs and I had to do something silly so I made a custom chopped roof basket(just was a temporary thing I promise)

Since I had gone and looked at it, I searched far and wide to see what the widest wheels people were putting on their Integras and to this day I can only find 9J. Knowing that I decided to order some 15x10 +12 Diamond Racing Wheels for the rear. The front I decided would be okay with 9J but unfortunately They no longer make wheels 9 inches wide for some reason so I opted for some 15x8 -12 which actually poke further than the original 9s I planned on...

My goal on the car is to tuck wheel and wasnt going to happen on lowering springs. I had some Function and Form coilovers from a CB7 Accord laying around and decided they'd work nicely to get me a little lower since I dont got stacks to be buying new coilovers with. All i had to do was change out the top hat.

Well a few weeks ago I got my rear tires in and went to work on getting the rear how I want it when I ran into a small problem. Even with all collars removed I couldnt get the car to sit low enough to tuck rim. In fact I was about 3 inches shy. Time to start cutting! Now if theres one thing I love its fabricating some stuff to make it work and thats what I did. I shortened the bottom mount on the coilover, removed 3 coils from the spring and made 1.5 inch extended top hats. That put it just where I needed it.
    BEFORE

    TOPHAT

This is the after shot I took and didnt realize the wheel was hanging up on the inside not allowing to to go down further...

Upon test fitting everything I realized I needed a spacer on all 4 corners. The fronts rubbed the calipers and the rears rubbed the inner wheel wells. My buddy cut me some 10mm spacers on a waterjet which will make final offsets 15x10 +2 rear and 15x8 -22 in the front.

With the rears abouth ready to go Im just waiting on tires to come in for the front. In the mean time I had my good buddy Stephen Knoop, who some may know by his rediculous green LS1 s14 recently featured in Modified, to come help put my front fenders where they need to be. with much pulling we got it pretty much where it will be at...

(sorry only picture I have with wheel on)

Im waiting on parts to arrive still and with any luck my tires will be in in Wednesday. heres a few things still to be put on the car...

Stay tuned for lots of updates or follow my Instagram where I post all the pictures of my build @ReidFraser

Bad ass bro, I'm looking for something right now fix up to. I have a 97 civic, that I'm thinking of dropping it. But got to paint it first. I'll do a thread on that. Love the rims, can't wait to see what you do. Subscribed...

Thought I'd throw up a small update... I received my steering wheel hub I purchased off eBay. I used an eBay one before and had no problems so I figured I'd give it a shot. I won't be doing any hard driving so I'm sure everything will be fine.

Also I forgot to show some pictures of my interior. I wrapped my headliner, armrest, door panels, shift boot, and a pillars...

And finally for tonight I thought I'd show these drop forks I made for the front of my car. Not sure if I'm going to be using them as I may be doing something else to get it down a little lower but I wanted to do them to see how they'd work. Suspension Techniques used to sell drop forks many years ago and I have never seen any for sale since but essentially it's a shorter version of the stock forks. I made these by removing 1.5 inch from the center and rewelding them. I test fitted one side on the car and it was great. I'm still testing them and figuring out what needs to be done before I make the set I will actually use (they will be much cleaner). Let me know what you think!

Here's a comparison shot between the stock and modified version.

I've never had a problem with my ebay steering wheel and I've had it for over a year and a half. I love it for the price!

I can't wait to see the car with the wheels on it!
