  • Fabbed up a mount for the FPR that bolts to the original alternator adjuster location on the head. Should work out mint. This is my first experience with braided lines & AN fittings and I’m lovin it.

The only thing is the Summit hose isn’t super tight in the Russel fittings. Might have to bite the bullet and get some Russel hose.

      • thanks sir! I really can't wait to get this thing painted but I'm having fun with all the little details in between.

Finished plumbing up the lines, just gotta get a couple new rad hoses, my inline filler, and this bitch can run! I'm excited knowing that I can dial in the fuel pressure that this thing has always needed since the swap and it should have a little more sack actually. It should be making somewhere close to what a 12v VR6 makes with the things I have done to it. Also having the rail setup "returnless" just looks so much better and makes me happy. I have a few ideas to clean up the ISV (Idle stabilizer valve) system also that will involve removing that ugly ass plastic pipe runnin across the top of the fuel rail.

        • spent Valentines day with my one true love, which is this car.

I cleaned up the fan shroud. This fan setup is from a MK3 VR6 car, single motor with a tiny belt that drives the secondary fan. It moves a serious amount of air which is nice for fighting heat soak on those sweltering summer days sitting.

Also spent some time on the trunk pan. I also installed a couple new hoses, took out the driver window to fix a ding in the door, and figured out how I'm going to mount the AFM so it's not banging against the fresh paint in the bay. Gotta shave a few more things and I'm almost ready for primer!

          • The devil is in the details. Clearly, you get that.

              thanks man.

I finished shaving the back of the passenger side then ran outta gas, so I'll have to finish the last couple things this weekend. After that I tucked the passenger side of the harness up in the rain tray and out into the fender. I'll be running the stock inner fenders so it'll never even be close to a tire. Started figuring out a mount for the AFM. The thing is absolutely hideous and too damn heavy to hang on its own, so I think I settled on trying to make the mount support it from underneath.

thanks! I have a couple different sets of wheels in mind that I'm undecided on.

For this season I'm going to run the wheels I had on my old car but I'm going with a different size of tires to fit better on here without flares. I only ran them a half a season before so it would be nice to enjoy them a bit before selling em off. They're cheap as hell, but I really have come to like the look of a straight spoke wheel on a MKII.

They're Konig "Retrack" wheels that I ran with MKI Rabbit center caps. 15x7.5 et32

                  • been makin moves but not photos. Did the last little bit of welding, new thermostat, upper and lower rad hoses, finalized some other hoses. I've got primer, filler etc. Saturday it's on. let's do this! Also picked up a K&N, figured on mounting the AFM this way and wrinkle coating it black.

                    • fully shaved fenders ftw.

messy shop is messy. apparently the PO <3'd sluts too.

                      personal struggle:
A (OEM Hella) or B ("M5 look" smoked clear) or C (red laminex over OEM Hella tails)
note: if I go with A, I will be finding a genuine Hella Heckblende to use on the rear tub.

                        • GET SOME.

My buddy Adam is doing some great work for me. I'm the first to admit when I suck at something and ask for help. This sorta stuff is way over my head so I'm pumped he can hook it up for me.

hood is all sorts of gross but i'll do when its cleaned up.

skimmed and ready for some more sanding.
