  • My Sloooow build thread (w124 content !)

Here is my 1988 Mercedes 300e. It has 200,000, ......no 300,000.....well ,...a lot of miles on it. The odometer broke around 10 years ago and it stopped at 198,000 miles so there is no telling how many miles its actually got on it. It has the normal wear and tear for a 24 year old car (clear coat faded on the roof, slight interior wear, some parts that don't work/intermittent parts that do work....). My plans are to get some decent wheels from tire rack and lower it a little by the end of the year. I am a college student so it will be a budget build (for now ).

    Here ya go:

Maybe a little too JDM ? I dunno

    Thanks for looking

A lot of wear . I really want the solid one piece ones, but I'm having trouble finding 'em. I'll Probably do the headlight wiper delete because it gives the front end a "newer" look. In due time...

I concur. Cut springs not so much but if you are on a budget then I guess it works.

Thanks for the comments guys I'll take your advise and look for some nicer wheels, I think I'll either cut the springs or get some lowering springs. I can't put it on it's nuts because I have a steep driveway but it will have a nice stance and some personal touches.

Domo! I keep one (the geeky looking one with glasses) in my door as well!

Love the car, can't wait to see it dropped
