Is an hour the other side of Adelaide.. We have Autofest here in Gambier once a year but cops are real pricks about it and time a hoon and defect blitz the same weekend and all the old pricks in the area whine about the noise and smoke but the hour or so of fireworks at the show at 9 or 10 o'clock doesn't get a mention.
It's really a shit place to be a car enthusiast. You're labeled as a hoon if you own any sort of modified car.

Mmmm, I can see that being a pain in the ass... The gold coast is even worse. They have hoon stations pretty much permanently that roll around the suburbs.

Had a bit of a mess around taking some photo's of the crown doing some light painting thing.. First time trying it so go easy on me! any tips with getting these photos better would be much appreciated! This is with no editing either because i haven't messed around with editing photo's much!

Scored a set of wheels for 40 coin today! I'll probably paint them black and put whitewalled Tyres on them until I get something Actually half decent haha.

Chucked the old girl on a mates hoist yesterday to change the oil and filter and give it a bit of a look over the underneath..
Surprisingly pretty good. in my guards and shit were chipped up and what not so i got a few cans of stone and chip guard stuff and went to town on everything..

My buddy threw on one of his wheels off one of his random stacks for his autocross wrx. didnt like the look. Looked too racey.


I think paint will go on the steelies tomorrow morning, still undecided on whether to keep them white or go black. Someone convince me which way to go!

So, last Friday after I knocked off work at 3 because thats what happens at my new workplace on Fridays!
This gave me a bit of time to go to the local tyre joint and get my tyres swapped over to the steelies. It doesn't matter that I waited until 4:30 to go there and they shut at 5. Because i know the right people they got straight onto it and had the car back at 5. Fitted and balanced all for $20 haha.

Saturday morning went and took a few snaps with the wheels on. In this picture it still has the 2 original wheels in the boot and the other 2 on the backseat so it sits lower than normal but i think this weekend i may get it down to this height. I dig it. if you look closely, the front wheel is sitting a bit further back in the guard. The bastard has been scraping when I turn so it's getting a wheel alignment tomorrow. Something to do with castor adjustment..


At the weekend, I also did the 350 odd km drive up to Tailem bend to watch a few mates drive at a private drift day that was put on by a local bloke. The Tailem bend motorsport park is the old Mitsubishi test track. Mitsubishi went to shit in adelaide and someone bought the land. Bloody good idea. just a bit far to drive to drift for the day. Got a few snaps of my buddies skidding.

Bit of an update..
Got a set of 17" Ford Territory steelies for cheap off a mate with alright tyres so i've thrown them on and I am digging the look of it! got the roof rails on and got the Thule rack on also.
It's so much nicer to strap the bmx to the roof rather than the back seat and be paranoid about splitting the velour with a peg or something..
Will probably do some sort of wooden setup for the racks just to make it look a bit funkier and not so shit.



I also got the caramel wheel to the pinstripe today and gave it a wash.. looks pretty flash but don't have a decent picture..

Within the next few weeks i'm going to respray the car and wheels.. Wheels will probably go white but i'm a bit stuck on what to go colour wise.. Everything inside the car is blue. Like, EVERYTHING. Dash, seats, carpet, door trims, the lot. So not many colours go with that.. I'm tossing up between The same white as it is now, just a freshen up and flatten it right off and buff it flat as flat can be, 3 layer pearl white - probably the pearl white the new impreza's are which has alot of blue in the pearl, or some sort of random silver with a satin finish using PPG's matte clear.. If anyone has any more suggestions on colour please tell me!

Heres a snap of my sisters car i washed today because I am the best brother she's got! It's just a NA RB30 manual Sillhouette R31 just with extractors and sports exhaust on it.. Needs to be lowered really badly and i need to respray it because its got a few dents and a spot of rust in there, Nice rig though..
