I'm really excited about this car, it's old, it's weird. And it's going to be low.

    Everything I love.

Ps, I have a hard on for those seats dude! They look great.

Thanks, the seats look great, esp considering I got them done for around $800, a pretty good deal...but its a simple job...

beautiful! Are you thinking of putting a four link on the back? Are these cars framed? definitely needs a McCullough supercharger

4 link to deal with the leaf springs in the rear, could be a great way of doing the bags...well see, but something very similar...

framed? as opposed to unibody?? no they are def framed

I would love to through a supercharger on it, maybe someday...would be a nice engine upgrade

So today I got under her to take some pictures of the current suspension setup to see what I am working with...

You can see in the rear I pretty much have room for something ridiculus, like 10 inches of clearence...but I will need to figure out a solution to the leaf springs...possibly a 4 link swap, but any suggestions would be appreciated.

            Up front...

There is a little less room for drop, maybe 4 inches at best so I am sure there is going to be some fab work up here as well, once I it off the ground and on blocks I can start figuring more of this out...only problem is that probably wont be for a month or two...but well get there

Also did this off a whim... On the old hawk studes they dont have the large trim panel on the trunk but use the same part number for the tunk...So when I pulled off the trim panel I found the old classic grooves like the Silver Hawk had, kind of like it...what do you think?

            After

Also ordered my Year of Manufacture plates off eBay yesterday, so hopefully I get that soon and re-registered with the original year plates

Small update, actually not really an update at all really, but I got my year of manufacture plates in the mail this morning, now its time to take a good ol trip to AAA to get these bad boys registered for the car. I also got my brass knuckles which will somehow attach to my column shifter, still have to figure that out, but should look nice non-the-less.

Got home tonight and was bored so I figured I would figure out how to swap my shift knob for a set of brass knuckles...

Keep in mind I still don't have my workbench setup, and everything is packed away for my move.

                However Shift Knob...Brass Knuckles

Now the Chilton manual for the stude, says to attach a new OEM knob head the plastic part with a heat gun, and put the metal part in cold water for 10 min, and press together. However if says nothing in regards to how to take them back apart, I tried prying it off, heating it with a heat gun...but as I always say, when all else fails, use the grinder...the Grinder and drill were the only two tools I had unpacked so I went to town and got the pastic piece off, shortened the end...drilled the hole into the brass knuckles, jb-welded them together...30 min later I had something that I was pretty proud of.

I will take a better picture tomorrow when the sun is out, but got her back in and it works like a charm.
