Well, I figure since I finally have something post worthy might as well do it. SO here goes: (be warned there are ALOT of shitty instagram/cellphone pics in this thread.)
Basically, I used to have an e30, hence the username.

I really enjoyed the car and she was starting to live up to the potential I had hoped for her. But there was still something missing in my life. So I was searching CL one day and came across an ad for a 1992 Legacy Turbo AWD. Guy in the ad stated he was looking for a trade for a european car, 'golf, jetta, e30, e36, etc'. So I fired him off an email. To make a long story short, we met at a local costco, and checked out each others cars and said fuck it. Lets do the trade.
So this was the car I picked up.

Completely stock, I had already done a few things like paint the scoop, repaint the bumper and a few other doodads. I was really lovin driving it, not having to slow down for speedbumps, potholes, that strange pppsssssshhh noise coming from under the hood with a quick rush of acceleration. And to be honest I wasnt even missing not being able to slide it.... ODD. But then of course like any true junkie. I had to start modifying it. I quickly started searching for wheels, suspension etc.

On the way to oldschool reunion meet in bothell washington. Rolling 4x4. No fucks were given haha
I remembered that my buddy was selling a set of 35th anniv vette wheels(I know so stanceworks fanboi) But the sizing was good 17x9.5 square and had a good offset for my subaru(stock is +56) and the vette wheels were +55. So I bought those for $250.

My buddy had tried to chemically strip them, but hadnt worked so well. So i set off and sandblasted them in my lane way. FUCKING terrible idea. Now i know why every professional place has a damn cabinet you use. lulz

Turned out pretty damn good though. And then I set off to pick a color. Now I know some of you arent fans of the bright colored wheels blah blah blah, I dont care haha. After picking up the wheels, I ordered a set of 5x100 to 5x120 adapters from ezaccesory. In the mean time before I could order coils because Im a broke ass mofo. I started to work on my s14 a bit. But then decided that i much liked the subaru better and put it up for sale to make monies.

Sold that bitch for $2500. She had some rust issues and needed aircare(emissions).
So I paid off some debt, and ordered some racelands. Unfortunately there arent any real suspension options out there for these models.
anyways besides the point. My adapters came in, the wheels were painted and ready to go so I did a little test fitting.

Was happy with the fitment! Could roll and pull the fenders no problem. But then I discovered some pretty bad cancer in the rear wheel wells, and there was no way I was going to be able to roll them with out putting HUGE holes in the car. SOoooo. My buddy that I bought the wheels off of had some flares lieing around ahha. Bought those for $200. and In an afternoon did some choppy choppy. and VOILA. My car is now 3-4" wider on either side.

Oh ya, and I cut the muffler off and welded some pipes on because who doesnt love the sound of a 2.2 boxer. I SURE FUCKIN DO. And added a mk3 gti front lip. Its like it was meant to be.
Anyways, was finally able to get some tires mounted, and get the whole thing put together. I had to grind part of the front caliper to clear the adapter but other than that shit went on fantastic.

But now with the flares, my 25mm adapters werent cutting it. And i wasnt impressed with the fitment. SO I went out and bought a set of 25mm bolt on spacers to go WITH the adapters. So my final setup is 17x9.5 +5. 205/40/17
Hardparkin' like a BAUSS.

Also you'll notice in some pics that my roof was black, I plastidipped it. Turns out that it in fact DOES look like asshole lol, and isnt as fun to remove as you would think it is. Mostly being a whiner, but seriously shit was a pain. So ya, Im dailying it like that for a bit. Let the suspension settle and break in a bit and then the front is coming down more.
Thanks for checking this out! Deathsquad for life!!
