Thanks. Just a heads up, if you end up putting rims on your fiances car then put 17s on it. 18s look huge on a stock body celica

Well I decided to brave the thunder storms this morning and take off the wing. I'm quite happy with the results.

I still need to get rid of some adhesive and get it painted/filled but it shouldn't be too much longer for that.

And this is what is left over of the sticky little bitch that was holding the wing on. Hands down the strongest adhesive I have ever dealt with.

Looks good, needs some skirts that flow a bit better and the car would be on point!

Yeah I am kind of thinking the same thing. Only problem is, the sideskirts I want and that would look really good are very rare and run around $800 if you can find a set. I am keeping an eye out for them but nobody wants to part with theirs so none are for sale.

That adhesive, take a heat gun to it and use a plastic putty knife to get it off.

            Looks way better.

Yeah that was my plan for tomorrow. I just didn't have time to finish tonight.

Thats going to be your trunk and your front bumper painted, and if you get the skirts they need paint too.

You should just paint the whole car!

                    Maybe R34 blue

Do they make reps? Or are you against running reps? Cause I would think it would be worth getting reps instead of 800, rare skirts that are probably gonna get messed up over time.

Haha ya. I pretty much will be at one point. I have some patch work that will get done on the skirts, rear valence, maybe fenders, and hood. I will keep it silver though. I figure it will be way easier to sell if its silver. I will probably be doing a full respray once I start making more money. $10 an hour isn't quite getting me there.

They do make reps but they don't have great fitment and they are fiberglass. For $300 I don't want to be fighting with fitment and busting them on a speed bump or something stupid like that. Plus I am kind of against reps right now. My rims are reps but they are my first set of rims that will become winter rims when I get something nicer.

Ahh, that's understandable. You should try to find some cheaper though, it would be worth dealing with the fitment if you could get them for a deal. But there aren't any other alternatives?

There is really only one guy who makes replicas and people don't usually sell them for some reason. And unfortunately there aren't really any other side skirts that I like. All the others are either rice or have to go with the rest of the kit in order to look good.

Alright. Time for some updates. I have good news and bad news.

Good News: I got my Extreme Drop kit and installed that. Haven't really gotten to drive enough to break the springs in but so far they car my car lower which is good. I have a quote to get the nose of my car painted and the hatch filled and painted so in a couple weeks that should be going in for paint. I have to wait a paycheck or two.

Bad News: I got a little too excited when I put in my extreme drop kit in and I lowered the front a little bit too much and put a hole in my CV boot so right now the car is in the process of getting a new CV axle. (Yay, new parts!) Also, I took off my front lip to make some repairs but I have been too lazy to actually start the repairs. At least the car is just sitting in my driveway on jack stands so nobody will see this shame filled stage.

Here is how she is sitting right now.

Also, I did a really rough photoshop of the rims I plan on getting. I will definitely be getting these this winter unless I find something that tickles my fancy a little bit more. Of course by the time I get these the front bumper will be painted and I think I will get rid of the TRD fuel door when I put these on.

Edit: I forgot to mention, this photochop used a picture I took after the extreme drop kit. As you can see it leveled the car off rather nicely. My next step will be something more than natural camber partnered with spacers so I can get some more low.

At first I had no hope, but now I definitely see potential. I know all about what it's like to have an "underdog" car.

Looking forward to where this goes.
