Aussie E21 - The rust bucket

Hey, recently joined up to Stanceworks, after i bought my E21 project car. My name is Domenic (Cinemod is my name backwards ). I've gone from the JDM game, i own a low Toyota Sera, which i love muchly! haha

Anyways, after a major overhaul on the Sera, and due to a frustration to a lack of aftermarket parts, stock parts, and the lack of RWD, i decided to buy a mate of mines rusty E21. Affectionately known as Baxter





The rust...






And that isn't all of it...

And since i had it towed to my house, i've stripped the interior out completely to uncover the sever rust in the floor pan, taken all windows out to uncover nasty rust in ALL the window sills, the A-Pillar is pretty terrible too, the drivers door is pretty gone too. I will take some more photos of said rust in the next few days as i've hit it with a wire wheel. And there is a hole in the roof where the sunroof used to sit, i ***** it, it was terrible and didnt seal so i took it out haha

All in all, im very excited, the car came with a TONNE of spares, the motor was rebuilt with bigger pistons and possibly a slightly bigger cam. and im excited to cut the rust out and learn some body work

Hozy, gtfo :P I didn't realise you were on stanceworks.. Im assuming you know Baxter is Jacks old car? You know he wasn't gonna do anything, and im bored of my car so i figured i'd see what i can make of the e21 haha

Also, those photo's are old, i don't have any good photo's of the sera since i dropped it on coilovers It's low, so f*ck you :P

good to see more rusted e21's. mine came with paper mache' repairs, and rust similar to yours, just curious, was the metal at the top of your boot seal absolutely fubar??? cant wait to see it low

the boot was amazingly in much better condition, only a few small holes.. its the windscreen that was shocking :S

So, un covered some more rust in the floor, also found a previous patch job done on the drivers side, and cut out some of the passenger side rust.

Anyway, contacted Walloth u. Nesch and they ship internationally and do in fact have floor pans for an E21, $131AUD each side plus around $90AUD shipping fee. not as bad as i had thought to begin with. I'll definitely enquire about the windscreen panel thats rusted, see if they can provide that + A pillars

It'll be pricer than farbricating the metal myself, but i like the idea of it being fresh metal, and i don't really have the skills to fab metal that well.
