what are you doing for rear suspension?
I went with T3s to avoid having to cut and weld, in case I ever need to go back to stock. I currently have a coil and a quarter cut in the rear, but I'm looking into air at the moment to go lower. I really don't wanna cut too much off the stock springs, and it's a solid rear axle, so bagging it should be relatively straightforward.

As for wheels in the future, I'm currently leaning toward Work Meister S1 or SSR Professor SP1, probably 17x8 +35. I'm happy with the current wheels though, and there's more stuff I wanna do before I drop a few grand on a new setup. Coming up on the agenda is new tires though. Yokohama S Drives are available in 185/55/14, which would be a mild stretch and much lower sidewall.

Ohhh I see, I didn't know the T3 coilovers came with new spindles and pre welded strut tubes.

17x8+35? O_o why such high offset? You're about 30 too high for a 8" wide wheel in my opinion. your wheel's will be sunken in your fenders about 1.5-3" depending on your camber plate adjustment. If your going to get a 8" wide wheels get 0 offset, if you wanna roll your fender's a bit get a 9" wide wheel with like 0 offset or slightly negative.

this is my current setup... my fender's aren't rolled yet. 17x8-5 effective (+25 offset with a 30mm spacer) in the front with the camber plates maxed negative and 18x9+26... mind you your car has a solid rear end so you can fit another inch of wheel width ways more than I could cause the solid rear end is thinner than the IRS on a mx73.

This is my old setup with my rotas 15x8+10 all around and a 6mm spacer in the front, camber 0 in the front or slightly negative. 205/50r/15 all around too, before I put the spacers on I was rubbing my tires on my coilover's top perch/spring.

Here's the tire :P wore in about 1/4"

            Gooo looow offset brooo.

If you wanna go hella aggressive... my buddy Aleks of DeathSquad has 17x10-10 and 17x10.5-25 (I believe but not sure about front width) on his wagon with a huuuge pull on his stock flares all around.

Well, that wagon looks fantastic. I just want a bunch of lip, hence the massive offset. Aiming for something like this

I'm also seriously considering doing this in my wagon after the air. Looks sweet.

Positive offset gives you less lip. You want negative offset.

when you have a higher offset the wheel sinks into your fender, when you have lower offset the wheel will stick out more. A side effect from having high offset depending on the design of the wheel's is less dish or a flatter concave face, lower offset wheels will have more dish or a more extreme concave look.

So here be some crappy phone pics of the swagger wagon, post-coilovers!

                          Before

                          After!

Camber plates, before. Meaning no camber plates.

                          And after. Yes, camber plates.

Parked outside work the next day, rocking tons of rake.

                          Slightly tucking.

I know, I need to go lower. But I like the amount of rake I'm rocking right now, so I can stick with this height till I lower the rear.

I don't want to cut any more off the rear springs, so I'm looking into air for the rear axle. The biggest hurdle I'm looking at is where to put my compressor; it'll be the spare tire well, if there's room. Also if there even is a spare tire well.

So it'll be at this height for a while, until I sort out a solution for the rear. In the meantime, I'll be taking care of some smaller issues with the mechanicals and the interior, mainly replacing the damned motorized seatbelts.

Thanks for the support and compliments, and I'll keep y'all posted!

Well, it's been a while, but I've got a few updates!

Air has been moving further and further down my priorities list, so for now, I cut another coil.

Then dialed in the right alignment.

Maxed out my camber plates at -2.45 degrees, and I'm happy with the end result.

Finally got around to installing my stereo too.

                              Dat fake wood.

It's taking a bit of a rest right now as a few things have changed in my life; new, more expensive apartment is choking in on the Cressy budget. I also have a new job that involves a bit of a commute, so the future of the Cressy is in jeopardy, based on how much I'm forced to spend on gas. It's a struggle to top 20 mpg in this beast.

If the gas expenses are tolerable, then Christmas will bring me the T3 Lower Control Arms and Steering Knuckles, tax season will bring a W58 swap, and there will be more stuff along the way. I might do a hardwood floor in the rear, and air for the solid rear axle is still a maybe.

Maybe a CVVT 1jz in the near future? Good gas mileage, and great power for the price.
