EDIT: I dont understand why someone would paint coilovers though. Was there just overspray?

Btw. What kind of master + slave cylinders you were planning to use with the Tilton OT-II, ive been thinking of ordering same clutch for my benz, but i wanted to use oem master + slave cylinders.
Yeah i tried showing my dad, he tried putting the blame on me and keept emphasizing the fact that the shop did me a "favor" Tried telling me i had to tell him not to paint the coils LMFAO.... The owner of the shop is a really nice guy who is stretched too thin with all the work he has. His employees suck, i think one of them rushed my car just to clear up space and this is the result. It just sucks its going to cost me 2500-3k to fix their mistakes now, honestly i dont know what to do.

edit: honestly havent thought of the brake cylinder issue yet, ive been more worried about making this shitbox run. Ive heard the tilton clutch though is supposed to be super super aggressive, when the time comes ill prob just shoot abc an email and see what they recommend.

    • It sucks what happened man. I know its hard now, but it will get better and be worth it in the end. Your car is an inspiration. Just keep pushing and you'll get there.

      • There is absolutely no excuse for how poor of a job was done. I am shocked that your dad said this is a "favor" and that he puts the blame on you. Is his friend blind? jeeze...

        • this flipping sucks, i feel for you man. a friend of mine had a similar issue, he knew a guy who owned a local bodyshop and agree'd to paint his car on the cheap. the job was pretty shocking and it makes it so hard to turn around and say 'you messed this up' when they did it for mates rates.

i think the problem with mates rates is, yeah okay its nice to have things a bit cheaper, but if that means the quality of the work isnt going to be up the standard it should be then i would much rather pay more.

either way i hope you get it sorted, shocking service. Do they paint over the top of all customers suspension when they do engine bay paint jobs? seems bizaare your dad would suggest you had to request otherwise.

              • well the engine bay is never going to stay perfect anyway (due to the fact there will be an engine in it)
but it still sucks that they screwed it up

                • Man , that is so unfortunate dude. Next bet is to just bring it back and show them the inconsistency and the blatant lack of quality of the work. If they fail to recognize their mistake I would honestly take them to small claims court and try to settle that way. 3 grand is worth my dad being angry at me, especially after he lays blame on you for there poor work. Just my .02.

                    • sucks dude...

but get on with the build, don't get hung up on this. you can remove the paint off your coils with paint stripper. if this isn't a show car, it wont be a problem.
