It kind of is now as my car is already there. But I'll wait and see what he says tomorrow.

Unfortunately I won't have time to work for him, but that is a good idea, thanks.

But yeah, I mean, I do want to eventually have a perfectly clean car so... and also in the end it's just money... I can make more. I don't need much on hand. It's not like I have a girlfriend or anything. *cries softly*

If that shop is your only option, and if it's worth the money to have a perfectly clean car, then go for it.
But if there are other body shops around, ask them for a quote as well.
Maybe see if you can work for him to help the price?

I (obviously since my car is primer) haven't dealt with body shops so I'm not sure but just decided to drop in and say I love your car so much!

Okay, so I just got back from taking my car up to the shop. He said it would definitely be over $400 to finish up the final touches on the body work, paint and blend, as well as repaint the lower quarters because they are a bit off color (no blending, just throwing paint on). To me, "definitely" makes it sound more like $600+.

Does this sound like too much? Have I gotten over my head? I have never paid for anyone's work before much less body work.

He said he would call tomorrow after he looked at it more to give me a quote. Hopefully it's not as much as I'm vibing or I'll go babies.
