(i have one of the lucky gutted cars) -_- your interior is soooooo clean! very nice looking car sir, an inspiration to us car revivers.

Alright, here are a couple pictures of my day yesterday.
Firstly, we have the current state of the underside of my car. It's also very dirty. You can see the glob of JB weld on the front of the transmission. However it looks like my skid plate is holding up well!
And after an hour-ish the transmission is out.
Because I was hosed on the new trans, I split the cases of the old one, wleded the crack from the inside, ground it smooth, and put the halves back together.
The car is all back together at this point and I drove it up and down the driveway a couple times. No leaks! We're back in business.

Make's me really excited about putting together my motor for my EG, I'm totally new to boost, and new ish to the fitment world.
Your car is beautiful, and your beard is glorious. Congrats on the hunt my friend.
I love hearing that people are trying to make more power! If you have any questions on setup or tuning or anything really, I'd love to hear them. Good luck with the build!

So a car update:
After all the time spent driving out to get, sand blasting, cleaning, and painting the new transmission case I found out yesterday IT'S THE WRONG ONE. Of course, they are identical on the outside and I only discovered this once I split my old case. Apparently there were 3214613248971237 transmissions made for an Integra from 1989-1993. Did not know. You may be thinking "well just use the new trans anyway". Unfortunately I can't. The input shafts are different so I'd need a new clutch disk. I can't swap input shafts because the internals of the two transmissions are utterly dissimilar.
Today will be spent cobbling together the old cracked one. Now that it's out of the car I can weld it properly. Here we go. I'll get some pictures up soon. I left my camera in the shop last night...

Thanks, both of you. I really appreciate the kind words! Check back this summer; it should be a little faster and have some nifty parts added as well.

I just want to say: I **** you....
My first car was an ED6 and now i miss it even more....
But anyways. Awesome car you build yourself.
Love the stance, and the fact that it can move in a decent pace aswell
Respect from Denmark.

This is definitely one of the best builds on here. Low and bitchin fast. I love that you got to build cars when you were young. I sorta did but i just learned basic mechanics and just now i'm starting to play with more engine work but i got suspension down and its one of my favorite things to build. Wish i had the money for a second car like a honda just to play around with. LONG LIVE THIS BUILD!

Andddd with that I am done. It took a couple days but I have officially read every post from everyone on this entire build. Ugh real talk, I followed you on instagram like an hour ago, can we be pals?

Well there aren't any input shaft bearings in these pictures. And there weren't any noisy ones in the trans. It had to come apart because 6 teeth were stripped off the final drive and I need to put my LSD in.

I want to take my tranny apart. Never have. But now I have 3 taking up space on my floor. Which one in the pic is the noisy ISB? Top left?

Glad to see you're keeping the blue dinosaur running.
If this is the Prelude you're talking about, don't sweat it. The gear sets come out in big stacks like this...you just lift them out (unlike German cars....). From there I would recommend taking pictures of EACH step as you disassemble the gear sets as well as making a diagram of all the washers and shims. Once you do it the first time, you'll see how easy it is though. Just take your time!
Thanks, Chris. She'll run again. And now that I have another daily, I'm aiming to go 10's in full street trim this summer. We'll see how that plays out. I wanted to take it to the Ohio Mile but the cost of the safety equipment to do 175+ mph is just too much.Last edited by M.Doban; 03-01-2014, 07:24 AM.
