  • The bavarian beast. ( my E30 sleeper )

Welcome to my E30 build thread, Before I start Id like to say i have an abundance of E30 parts i need to sell, if your looking for something, personal message me, right, lets go.

Im Euan and im 19, this is my second car, its also my second E30. The first one I bought turned out to be rotten and a ringer ( stolen identity ) so i decided to break it and give up. I purchased my new car, this time a 316 with a 2.5i motor and superchip a few months ago. On the first day I owned it, it blew up 10 miles from my house, shattering a rocker arm and spliting a piston into 20 pieces. This is the car on the second day i owned it sitting on the standard 15" bbs.

My old man, my neighbour and I set to work swapping the 2 litre engine from my first E30 into my new one, it doesnt look as pretty but its a working engine and we managed to rig up a ghetto home made engine crane and get that shit done. I also stuff it on temporary bbs rk reps as the 15" bbs had to be returned to the cars previous owner, a good friend of mine who gave me 17" alpina reps instead.

I also purchased these borbet As for the first car so I decided to test fit them on the new ride and get an idea of how it would look. They are 16x9 running on 215/40 tyres

After messing about tweeking the engine and so on I took delivery of my alpinas ( warning wheel porn )

I also stuck new rubber on my borbets...same size as previous, just a little stretch. I then put the front ones on my car, before i put the rears on I need to finish doing the brakes.

The car could be lower on the front but Scottish roads are horrible so il probably leave it how it is, bear in mind the car had been on stands for 2 weeks so the suspension hadnt fully compressed yet.

Haha thanks man. The idea is to have a classy fairly low but drift worthy beast, so plenty spare wheels is a must. Should finish the brakes this week, then Il get some better photos and maybe a video of me and the car. The next thing I need is angel eyes, the current headlights are tinted and pretty terrible. I also want full red rear lights, a roll cage, OMP buckets and steering wheel. I have a nardi bmw wheel and a mint tech 1 I need rid of.

Thanks very much guys. More pictures this week when my omp arrives. It might get slow after that as its all money related. I need to buy 2 omp bucket seats, harnesses a set of angel eyes and red rear lights. Very expensive for a 19year old
