Got bored with my intro thread...

This is my '06 Ford Fusion. It's an SEL completely loaded. Black leather with creme stitching inside, Audiophile sound, etc. The only upgrade the original purchaser didn't get was the V6 engine...

So it's slow...

Quickly got along with some love from Steeda Autosports. Short Ram Intake with larger MAF housing and a CPU tune. Still slow. Magnaflow exhaust. Still slow.

I learned to accept it.

Then I got a new job and some money. Found these on CL and drove halfway into Iowa to pick them up. 19x8.5 Axis Super Hiro's with a purple pinstripe. Got the set for $450 in almost new condition. Few little scrapes, but no real curbrash.

Installed them with my dad in his driveway with hand tools. Neither one of us had any suspension experience. It was a long day.

I've never owned a lowered car before so it's a learning experience for sure.
I scrape my undertray on my driveway everyday. My neighbors think it's scary. Lot of disapproving looks.

So that's where it stands. Always looking for constructive criticism. Always looking for opinions. Always looking for new wheels/ other things.

It has 4 or 5 threads left up front and about that many in back, but it's staying at this height. As I said in my intro thread, it still needs to be driveable here in Nebraska...

Now that I have the wheels mounted and lowered I think I should have gotten different ones. The way that the spokes don't extend all the way to the lip makes them look smaller than the 19"s they are...oh well, didn't cost that much $$$

Roads/location are not a valid excuse. The car looks good, though I would like to see the stripes on the wheels go away and see a different (NOT pastel) color going on. I think silver would look nice. Also lower it. Overall, I do like it and look forward to seeing what comes next.

It is a valid concern. Not an excuse; a concern. If it was an excuse I'd have used it to justify keeping it at 4x4 status instead of the 2" drop it's set at now.

I bent a wheel on this pothole. It was not fun. I can only imagine the damage had that car been lowered...Omaha has a ...erm ...reputation for not using their street funds to actually repair the streets.





The color scheme wasn't my first choice, I'll admit, but I kind of like the purple and as I said I got the wheels for a steal.
