Well, i had budgeted some money on the side and decided I was gonna order some ZG flares instead of pulling, but the driveshaft is gonna eat up a lot of that money so I'm just gonna go ahead and do a mild pull. I figure as long as I don't pull it too far and too aggressive, I can always cut the pulled metal out later if I put in fiberglass flares.

Ahh I see. Have you ever thought about 4x4 fenders? I like the look of them on my yota

I think Jody, along with Ashton, like to push the line between "street legal" and "realistically driveable".
Niceeee! I love how the truck isn't perfect and has different coloured panels. And just when we were looking forward to fender flares, a driveshaft just has to screw things up. Anyway, I like the poke for some reason, don't ask me why.

read through this thread and immediately looked on craigslist for a datsun truck. haha nice build. looks sick,
I'm surprised you haven't found one yet! If you keep an eye on some Datsun forums, you're bound to find a nice one at a good price. There are plenty in the north west, as Tristin stated.

I thought about it, but most of what I've found are too boxy or aggressive, I'm gonna pull the fenders very mildly, and see how that turns out. I can always cut them out for flares down the road if I don't like it.

Thanks man! I **** my inconsistencies, but I guess that's where the character comes from.
The flares/flared fenders are still coming, and the driveshaft won't set me back too far, It was really the towing that hurt. That's coming back to my pocket from insurance though Just waiting on the check.
Since the trucks been down, I've had time to work on some little things that I've been wanting to do. The taillight surrounds got a good sanding and wire brush before fresh primer and.... Plastidip!
3 days later, the drive shaft! I have have to say HOLY HELL a one piece is so much nicer. The truck is smoother then ever. Zero driveline vibrations, and it's even quieter under the truck now. (Carrier bearing was toast.) In fact, it even slides easier now. That's always good.
