Sorry guys, we pondered moving the exhaust up, but it wouldn't workIt has to come down from the header, around the torsion bar, up over the trans crossmember, down under the rear crossmember for the carrier bearing, and back.
The trucks torsion bars are all in the way. If I ditched them, i could move it right to the side of the carrier bearing and out the back, but the torsion bar mounts to the rear crossmember get in the way.. I used to have side pipes running out of the driver side, but it was too loud.
If I bag it, I can do it
On that note!! Mounted the shifter...
It's pretty neat! Handle is actually wood with the Heineken logo (aluminum) epoxied on.

It sits VERY close to the steering wheel, which I don't like. Probably gonna heat it up and bend my shifter.

It's nice having it right by my hand. There's so much weight on top that it shifts with ease. A slight tug and the it carries momentum into the next gear.

The shifter isn't a bad fit. It's not too uncomfortable, I actually kind of like it.
I don't really wanna 'form' the plates any tighter around it because I'd be too worried about cracking the paint/aluminum
My alternator adjusting bracket I'm working on.

And since I never post underhood shots, here's my dirty ass engine.

Maybe putting tires on those rims tomorrow... time will tell.
