How about tinting the white (reverse lights? unless I'm mistaken, I don't even know) in the tails orange? We did it on my brothers mk2 and it looked pretty cool once we got the tint to match properly.

Either way, it's a really cool mk2, looks really clean, in the pictures atleast.
