Well I've finished polishing the lips..thank god! :eyecrazy
The e36 wheels were a nightmare, had to use this..
....then much wet&dry to fat them back before polishing. I know I've said it before, but never again! :sarcastic
I've also painted two centers using Worth rattle cans which are really good and give an oem colour..
No pics on the car yet as I've not had time but I'm really not feeling the silver. I want something to contrast the polished lips which silver doesn't do imo. I really don't know what colour to go, I tried satin black on one of the spare wheels which looks good off the car but I don't like black wheels generally..
(ignore the crap finish, This wheel has be used for testing paint stripping products!)
I'm thinking a darker silver, anthracite or white. Opinions please!
Wheels are painted up and finished (for now). Also trimmed up the front arch liners slightly and had a fiddle with the ride height.
Took the car to Holkham (cattlegrids galore!! ) for some pictures on the estate. Photobucket is being sloooow atm though so can't post them all. Enjoy!
Blimey, an update! I took the day off work today to get some motivation going on... Lacquered the n/s rear arch and flatted it back with 1200grit followed by 2000 then 2500 and much G3 and elbow grease. Really pleased with the way it turned out, the finish is actually better than the existing paint, bmw left orange peel...I didn't! The match isn't 100% though, still slightly darker but ho hum..
Rubbed down..
Reflection shot..
Then I broke every rule of spraying... done the o/s arch..Filled/primed/painted/laquered/flatted/polished in fours hours! My bad!! In actual fact it looks damn good, just have to flat it back more as I rushed(!) it, other than that...rules are there to be broken..
No more pics as I had been outside for 10 hours and am fooked. I have my mojo back I think..
Busy day again... Flatted back and polished the drivers side arch again as I wasn't happy with it. Was running low on G3 so had to make do with what I had left (still looks good though)
Also done the wheels a gunmetal colour. Took a few pics but I only rubbed them down to the primer that I put on a few weeks ago and just put the colour on, they're not laquered yet..
