  • Project daily (B5 S4)

    Starting off, here's my 2001 Audi S4. Never been an Audi person, but got a good deal and decided I'll just keep it. As it should be maintenance comes first, then the goodies.

    Fun stuff list:
    APR Exhaust (came on the car)
    Tune? (seems so, will confirm later)
    Aftermarket grill (also, not my choice, will be swapped with OEM)

    Sitting stock, only a bath and fresh tires different from when I picked her up:

    Paint = OK-ish:

    *Note: Real goodies sadly wont be happening for a while, but I will keep up to date with pics on what is being done, and any good shots of the car along the way. Also, my iPhone is pretty much my only camera at this point, so I apologize for crappy quality

    Thanks, any comments and input is great.

      Boring maintenance update!

      Timing belt and valve cover gasket will be done and car will be back to me monday (first time i've paid someone else to do work on one of my cars) and hopefully the misfire will be cured along with the random ABS kick-on I'm having.

      Also found out that coilovers and control arm kit wont kill my wallet. I have yet to find a price I like on sway bars though. Now just to decide if I want to do it all in the next couple months, or wait until after winter....

      Either way, probably a couple weeks after the car gets back, wheels and brake calipers will get refinished, and a few other little odds and ends.

          Gotta love a B5 S4. These are a blast to drive. Keep her well maintaned so the engine wont blow up! Friend of mine always says: as long as everything's proper under the hood, all other things are minor

            Yup, maintaining it is the plan for right now, get it solid then comes the fun funs.

            I'd do the coils this summer, but there's a lot of stuff I want to be able to go out and do and unless I get another raise soon I doubt that would be comfortably in my budget. Oh well, soon enough.
