Z06 Stanced...

I have a 2008 Corvette Z06. I had lowering bolts, DRM shocks, stock transverse leaf springs, yaddy yaddy yada....sat nice, but not what I wanted in terms of the ultimate performance and handling with that low style.

I just installed Pfadt Featherlight SA coilovers with light rate sways....Not only did I lose 20.5lbs. I also gained the ability to go lower without losing performance and ride.

On with the pics...

Bought brand new, completely stock...



Powdercoated OEM Splitspoke wheels...







Sold the black wheels and got competition grey spiders...



Finally got some real suspension mods....Pfadt Featherlight SA Coils with Light Rate adjustable sway bars.







Also sold the spiders and picked up some OEM Z07 wheels...

So to convert it to coilovers you just replaced the stock shocks? No need for extra bracing or anything?

Yes, just pull out the leaf springs and shocks....The coilovers go right in place of the shocks. No extra bracing needed.

I've never understand why they don't come OEM like this?

Have you heard of any draw backs using a rear coils over the leaf?

Or is this just classic GM not giving fucks?

Katech Carbon Fiber sideskirts (+1.5lbs. both)
GM full length racing spoiler
LED license plate and reverse lights
Nasty yellow fog lights which is coming out soon for something else.

Under the hood...
Halltech CF102 intake with carbon fiber beehive (-2 lbs. over stock)
LG carbon fiber fuel rail covers
Otherwise all stock...
