Thanks man, no plans to change the wheels since I just got these. I want to polish up the lips and refinish the centers silver to match.Originally posted by Zic View Postoh boy that looks good.
any plans to change the wheels? And can the front drop lower, whats hindering it from getting down?
The front is sitting on the subframe, it's just the lack of a front valance (comparable to burrough's csl front valance) that makes it look like it's still sitting high lol.

Air Build: 1972 Bavaria
Hi SW, I'm a long-time lurker and finally have something to show.
Let me tell you guys a little bit about the car...
I picked the car up from a guy in Georgia in October of last year. It needed some tuning, but after replacing some parts, it's running strong (with some minor leaks).
It's got a Metric Mechanics 3.7 stroker and 5-spd conversion with less than 30k miles on it.
It was restored in '92ish with fresh paint and new interior then sat for 10+ years.
I love this car for how much character it has over most cars on the road.
The inspiration for the build came from TheNeek
So I spent this past weekend with a friend of a friend fabrication my struts for my air suspension.
I can't tell you guys how big of a smile I've got on my face.
Here's a before shot, sitting high on Bilsteins and new Enkei 92's I picked up (16x8 et 0)

Day 1 comprised of setting up the tank, compressors and management.
Here it is clean and simple, I still have to wrap the boards that cover the spare wheel and gas tank

Day 2 we spent fabricating the front struts
Here's Steve plasma cutting the strut plates to fit

Here's the Bav on jack stands with the passenger side strut taken out

Said strut..

Here's the universal bellow bags for the fronts that will be welded onto the stock spindle

Here's the strut plate being prepped for welding

The stock strut mount, cut down to size for the new air strut to rest and for the sleeve to sleeve-over

Like dis

Cutting the sleeve down to size

And welding the front system together

BAM

All welded up and painted

Some plumbing...

And running the air lines

Day 3 was Monday and I was at work while Steve fab'd the rear struts

And here's how she sits air'd out

Here's some other goodies I've put into the car before the air
