well the problem was they didn't mention anything about it taking more than a week. I had ordered them in May to have the car ready for the beginning of the summer. They had the struts and springs sitting there ready to go but they have a machine shop make the spring perches and then they have them plated. So when I ordered they said it would be about a week since they were getting done with a batch of 8 others, and then after calling multiple times over the next few months and them telling me it will be a couple of days every time, I called in September and they had apparently got all the orders back and for some reason mine got lost in the mix, so they had to re-order it which would take "no more than 2 weeks"...2 months later I got them. I understand that it's hard with a small demographic ordering parts from them, but it was still pretty frustrating. They did give me a discount on the order though so can't be too upset.1976 Volvo 245 Build

Thanks btw! it's so hard now that all the pieces are here to just have them sit in my room until spring. And good luck with the GTA's, they look amazing when fully polished, but if you're doing it by hand it will take FOREVER! hahaOriginally posted by fortbrick View PostAlso, your car is looking really good and seems to be coming together well. Makes me want to get my GTA's finished.1976 Volvo 245 Build

So it finally happened!! After an entire year of planning and amassing parts and researching and creating a network of Volvo guys to help me, it FINALLY happened!
Started by getting the garage all set up and prepped for surgery

Then started grinding down all the wheel studs 1/4" to fit flush with the adapters

Then moved on to the fender rolling. The fronts were really easy and the rears went fairly smoothly too considering how thick the metal is. The roller, heat gun, and a good ol' hammer did the trick!

After that, got the rear all set up since it was easier. Got the new springs and perches, new shocks, and the adjustable torque rods and panhard bar all installed

This is compared to the springs I already cut two coils out of

Moved on to the front and got the coilovers all assembled and installed

Had a nice little pile of junk we took off the car!

Then got the tires all mounted, 195/45R16 on 16x8 wheels

Got them mounted and they tucked right up into the fenders like they should!

...so everything is all done except for the wheels. The painter is a very selfish man and decided to go golfing instead of getting them painted for me before the big install...so I won't show any finished pictures yet until the wheels are painted and it's 100% done...so I will leave you with this little teaser to hold you over
