I'm really wanting to go so something 16x8 with some dish. As soon as I pick up some shorter springs for the front coils I can go that 1/2" wider without issue and also fit a slightly wider/taller tire which I've been wanting to do now for a while.

I like it. I think some different wheels would fit it better, but it works.

My neighbor has the same car, just not modded lol.

    Thanks guys.

DeeAOne, a lot of people are scared of the megasquirt units and think they're junk because they don't know how to tune, but they're just as capable as any other full standalone. It's not the easiest unit in the world to tune, but it's not all that bad either. I'm using it for fuel only on my wagon so it's pretty simple, just wire it in, set the parameters, get it running and tweak the fuel map, then after it's running decent you can mess with the acceleration enrichments and warm up enrichments and all that jazz. I daily drive my car so it needs to be reliable and as long as it's tuned good it's not an issue.

Unique. I like it. How are you liking the Megasquirt? I'm still looking for someone around here that can tune mine.

started a topic Quest for slammed/boosted Saturn Wagon

    Quest for slammed/boosted Saturn Wagon

So a few years ago I started getting into the stanced scene a bit. I've always been in to building different cars. I also really started getting into turbo cars because n/a 4cyl cars just don't do it for me any more. Anyway, after wrecking my other saturn I picked up this wagon for a mere $250 cash money. It was dirty, beat up, stock, and had a blown trans. I can fix this.

I pretty much started tearing the car apart as soon as I get her home. It had a beat ugly interior, but my 96 sedan was luckily very clean on the inside. Unfortunately the door panels don't swap between 91-95 and 96+ cars so I'm stuck with the old door panels and uglier dash, oh well. I was able to swap over the seat belts, seats, and carpet.

Before the car was all together I picked up some new wheels. Momo arrows in 16x7.5, ET35. They fit pretty well on the car.

Got the drivetrain swapped in from my sedan and got the thing running, 5spd swapped. Put on and extra set of wheels temporarily.

Got the interior all put together. Still wanting to swap out all of the door panels and do some other work here and there.

Got it running good with n/a build. Ported head/intake manifold/big throttle body, rebuilt bottom end.

Then I got my tires mounted, all new suspension, but I already knew it wasn't low enough.

I ended up installing a set of progress coilovers that I had (only have the two fronts) and trimming 2.5 dead coils from the rear springs so it sits more appropriately.

After a while the car started smoking under wide open throttle and burning oil so I decided it was time to pull the motor and install the motor that originally came with the car. I wasn't going to stay n/a though. I ended up scoring a turbo kit off of my buddy for a really good deal that I couldn't pass up. I had it pulled apart and back together boosted in about 4 days.

and lastly a picture with the wheels, and current ride height at a car meet next to my buddy bill's wagon.

So I still have plans to do more with the car. Right now I still want to go lower. I can go lower up front, but since I don't have coils in the back I can't go any lower. There are no available options for coils for my car so I need to do some sort of custom setup. I'm planning on using coils from either a Neon or a Subaru once I do some measurements. Anyway hope you enjoy my different build.
