rides very good! altho i wish the rear struts were shorter because ive threaded them all the way into the lowest possible... wasnt low enough so i had too loose the spring preload quite abit to get it as low as i have it in the rear now.. still has about 3-4cm of threads on the front tho for the strut :P

scrape around up there and make sure there isn't any dirt/debris packed behind the lip there. You want it to be completely clear of that stuff before you start rolling. That would definitely prevent you from rolling it further.

Did that first time around, maybe not thoroughly enough..... i will try again...

so yeah.. been meaning to post this for a while.

while the coilovers itself is perfectly fine and im happy with them the professional welder i got to do the welding and cutting job obviously did not weld them on straight.

the left side seems to be the one that is the most correct on, the wheel looks to have the correct offset compared to what i had before with only lowering springs. but on the right side the wheel seems to sit considerably longer into the wheel well..

I didn't really become aware of it before i had an alignment the guys who aligned it adjusted the left hand side camber all the way into the postive range on the top mount and nearly all the way into the negative range on the right side. and the camber is now supposedly -1 degree on both sides.. (which seem to be correct when i look at the wear pattern post-alignment.)

On the alignment paper (see uploaded picture) the cambers are all different prior to alignment. (both top mounts were set to full negative prior to alignment)

the car drives perfectly fine and the alignment is correct so the only thing wrong is basically how it looks... (wheel farther into the wheel well on one side >.<).

i run 17x8.5 et 13 with 15mm spacers... im guessing if i were to remove the spacer on the left side the wheels would probably look right compared to each other.. (altho, would probably not be geometry-wise correct?) (or buy a larger spacer for one side... lol)

another option is to cut it up again and get it rewelded, hopefully straight... altho i don't see that as a viable option since i guess it would be harder to get it straight once its cut off again?

so yeah.... just real fucking annoying for me to look at

done some stuff... rolled the rear arches, changed oil, oil filter and air filter.. like a BOSS! done a bunch of oil changes on these engines now!
used castrol magnatec 5w-40, like ive always used on both my cars and all the oil changes.. bosch oil filter where one of the rubber gasket rings included just evaporated in my hands when i tried to put it where it belongs O.o



ive rolled it some so i can have a full tank of gas and some people in the car without rubbing, but it seems ive hit a brick wall where the lip just doesn't want to bend up anymore :S

To me it basically looked like it only had inner weld support, & in theory lets say you had hit the wrong pothole or tried to make a sudden move, that it would crumble. But that's just my .02 & since you said you autocross I guess it gets the job done.

i don't really see what you mean, looks fine to me in person... maybe because its cleaned up with a grinder? anyways, been driving with it for some months now.. including autocross and other suspension tearing, driving... :P
