  • HMS Wiener; My e34 love story

(I suggest letting all the photos load for a while at this point, "Some" photos to follow.. maybe i should remove some?)

This is my 2nd calypso e34 and my 2nd car. My other e34 i still have and gonna be made into a drift car in time... probably start a build thread of that someday when stuff starts happening...

bought it looking like this from a lovely old couple which have owned it since 96' and it was family owned since ever..

this is some of the stuff ive modified it with since:
    - SPAX stiffness adjustable 50/35mm from my other car transferred over.
    - powerflex in rear subframe, and front control arms/caster arms.
    - mtech steering wheel and drivers seat.
    - Azev Type A 17x8.5 ET 13, transferred over from the other car. 15mm spacers all around. Final ET -02
    - under door entry/exit lighting.
    - retrofitted factory curtain in the rear window.

plus a bunch of stuff i can't remember properly

here are some photos to show the story up until now:

had an off, no damage at all.. luckily

so this is basically the hole story up until now...
    as it sits atm:

Also coilovers has been bought and arrived, only got to install the rear ones the other day.. the fronts are in for welding on some extra hubs.. getting them tomorrow hopefully slammage to follow shortly...

Suspension fully extended with the shock wound all the way down..

having a problem tho, i can't for the life of me get the spring preload collars loosened up.. any tips? feels like im breaking it... and since the shocks are wound all the way down into the bottom i will need to loosen the preload and lower the spring to get it lower?

In that pic it seems its wound all the way up I think. Can someone else clarify? Also are those kido?

i ended up not getting the sway mounts fixed up.

how it ended up looking for today, gonna fine tune it tomorrow or something... this is with full negative camber:

                      thanks guys....!
i need longer anti roll bar links so i ordered some e39 v8 ones, they are 3 cm longer... should be perfect length... currently running with the antiroll bar disconnected >.<

why not? looks like a nice weld to me... still holding up fine either way... :S

was at a meet today, and this is how it is at the moment... still working on the ride height and camber to get it where i want it, also need to do some mild fender rolling in the rear specially..

                            update:

since i did not get my sway bar mounting brackets rewelded, since i thought they would work and they didn't because of the clearance with the tie rod (it rubbed when turning...) as shown in this pic:

i ordered some e39 v8 sway bar links, since i knew those were longer.

as you can see... a lot more clearance.. now works fine, and no rubbing! altho the sway bar link still sits with a bit of angle... (this could be corrected with the help of some "spacers", since the thread on the link is long...) but ill let them be for now..

ill soon do a proper shoot!

                            also going autocrossing this sunday

Can't you just bend the bracket at an angle to match the end link?
