So it all began when I sold my 1996 Golf GTi, big mistake.

With a lump of cash in my hand I went and stuck down a deposit on a 2007 Polo GTi. I'd always loved these cars and knew they had a massive amount of potential.

Obviously first things first I set about getting it 'dickhead' low. Ordered some of Ebay's finest and got them fitted. Some parts didn't quite make the cut..

Not nearly low enough. Yet.
Anyway, plans were put in motion and I went to collect these..

17x8 ET35 5x100 - The perfect specs.
Trial fitted them on the car.

Got some tyres fitted and drove 250miles down to Devon to see some 'car' friends. Whilst there we ripped my suspension apart and modified the struts to get it 1" lower.

To cut a long story short I got fed up of running 17's. I couldn't get the car low enough on them without ripping my arches to pieces. So a decision was made and I swapped them for a set of 16x9 Borbet T's. 215/35's were purchased and further lows happened.

So at this point the frame is around 1cm from the floor. I bust the oil pan twice on consecutive days bought a shortened steel pan. MOT and Tax were coming up for renewal and the car had no chance of passing so I decided to buy a new daily and take the Polo off the road for some extensive work.

The plans were simple.
Lower
Faster
Cleaner
and Legal.

Whilst off the road I sold the Borbets and bought some Enkei K-95's in the same fitment as the previous RPF1's. I figured 17's were doable now as i'd bought stage 3 top mounts (the only way to get camber on these cars) and would be able to tuck rim.
Well that just happened.

That's a mock up of it all together.
Although the chassis rail height is pretty terrifying.

Slowly acquiring parts but this is one of my favorite purchases so far.

That's a Nissan Skyline intercooler, prepping the car for big boost later in the year.
Up to this week now where I've just swapped the K-95's for something a little more 'special'.

16x8 ET11 5x120 Gotti 3 piece.

There's alot I've missed out but hope you've enjoyed the read.
