Finally thought I'll post a build thread from the last few months of what happened/happening to the car. Pretty much bought buckna's 101 motorsport ls1 powered e36. It started out as this;

Well reality kicked in with the fact I own buckna's car but I want it to be better. Basically everything I didn't like fixed and a very detailed rebuild. So I started to remove all the trim to make way for the cage to be modified and bolted in(was never bolted in);

Then motor came out;

After that all the little things we didn't like have been removed and started to get all sorted out. Brake lines and wiring were the key players. For brake line 90% of the car will run dash 4 Teflon braided line.

Got my eBay game on one night end bought this;

Then bought a pair of mint te37 17x9 +22. Why, I still don't know they look kinder cool.

So over the last month I've been keeping my eye out for a ecu for the car. Stumbled across a motec m800 with dash that has many options unlocked.

Then a ls2 pops up, ofcourse the extra .3 of a liter increases mass wank factor by atleast 10!

Pulled sump off only to find it looks brand new inside. Will do a full strip down and check at some point.

On the weekend just past I finally got to lay colour in the engine bay. Has alot of sparkle in the sunlight. Will look awesome once together!

And this is were Im at. Still need to purchase a fuel system and a pair of wheels at present. Finish off the cage and paint the car. Ive missed a fair chunk cause I'm lazy but meh. Anyway this is what's going down.
Oh thanks Casey for the speedhunters photo's that's been used.
Tonight the spare wheel well and I had a disagreement I couldn't get the jack under it so I cut it all out!

Also while I was at work I sucked it up and bought a moroso switch panel. Always wanted it and thought running a full stand alone harness will suit the car alot better now. Good features these guys have are the inbuilt circuit breakers with reset buttons and a push to start button. Looks real tidy.

Got the cross member painted last night I so can start assembling the front of the car. New nolethene bushes for caster and sway bar.

Did wheel tubs in under body deadener and disassembled the cusco coilovers and gave them a clean.

More later tonight.
Got more done all front end is in will be making brake lines this week I hope.

Decided to test fit a wheel. Looks awesome! Need to take off the 25mm spacer and run a 15mm spacer however to do that I have to cut down studs or drill into the hub on the wheel.

Bit of an up date. Bought new wheels and 8 of them;

Got the car ready for high fill.

Buckna decide he would change the rear end to studs but by doing so only did one side.So I did the other;

Fits mint until you put new studs in buckna's side and then wheels don't go on -_- so I'm here either to straighten or get another hub and redrill again:

Positive note. It has camber arms;

Oh also got these with the car. Solid toe bush that's rose jointed. Buckna got them made from Lucas and flagged installing;

I don't work Fridays so spend the day working on the car got 90% of all the fiddly pieces preped for paint and disassembled 5/8 wheels for polishing and painting;

Thee perfect examples of why it will look cool. Just doesn't work on nissans....

Okay not the exact colour but still very close
Possibly this;

I really like the purple even a dark blue. Not sure yet
Got the cage fitting ALOT better then it was. Actually going threw the dash not into it. Bought rails from nzkw to suit my seats. Forgot to mention I have 2x sparco evo1's 2x 2" 4 point sparco harness's and a sparco 368 380mm wheel. Bought a console and shit to make it all look neat. Photo is pathetic but kinder shows pointless detail;

Today I bought new rotors for the rear and hand brake pads. Got the calipers rebuilt too so I have nothing to fail, well I hope not anyway. Will have pictures ones on the car when the hubs get machined! Picked up a Holley black lift pump too so that's a win. Will have bulk pictures Friday/Saturday! In the mean time I painted my other bar a red/maroon colour. Not a fan at all!

This is the "best" angle to show the colour under shade it looks like your mums maroon camry... Not cool
