i am still on stock head gasket but i'm redoing the air intake so i will be adding an intercooler. gonna try and run 14/15psi on stock set up. honestly at 7psi its pretty fucking fun

    other future plans
    - building some adjustable end links for M030 sway bars.
    - guards LSD
    - poly bushings for all control arms
    - bigger front brake set up

after fucking around rebuilding the turbo and have it going bad i wasn't sure if it was just seals so instead of wasting money and time i just ordered a complete CHRA. installed and no smoke. about fucking time

ok so i rebuilt the turbo and it smoked a bit which i knew was normal and everything seemed fine. now when i backed the car up on 3 different occasions i got a puff/cloud of white smoke. just puffs once. My drain hole is higher up on the pan but im wondering if anyone has seen an issue that if the oil reaches the drain height it would cause this. besides this everything seems normal and runs the same. i do have a undersized drain hose compared to hole on turbo since i had to make a weird drain flange to clear cold side housing. i added a restrictor since the turbo was backing up with oil before. i put it on the oil filter housing but someone mentioned it needed to be closer to turbo?

well did a compression test, everything checked out there so i built a little fitting to pressurize my coolant system to see if i could force it out while not running. the fitting i made to bleed off to rad was the problem . so good news there but bad news as car was still lacking boost so back to trouble shooting. when i would get on it it lacked any real turbo feel, more linear power. sometimes smoke from tail pipes, sometimes just from turbo housing, sometimes just at long idle, sometimes not at all. after i took it out for a warm up run i brought it back and seen the smoke coming from turbo. oil was leaking onto the housing. looking around there is where i found a lot of shaft play. looking online i have found the holset needs a larger drain line than most. i had to make a angled drain fitting to clear the compressor housing and i knew it was the issue. need to figure that out and i ordered a turbo rebuild kit. now i would say that it should be good to go after that but i've let myself down to many times

Thanks guys. I think i have a bad head gasket as it appears im leaking coolant between the head and block when under boost. this was just a stock block, no head gasket or studs so its not surprising.

    as it sits now.
